How do I know if my Jeep has HID headlights?If you turn on your headlights and it flashes for a second, then over time (about seven to 10 seconds peak performance and tends to be white in color), that tends to be HID. If you turn on your headlights and it's instantaneous on power and a nice white light, this tends to be factory LED.
How do you remove a HID bulb from a socket?Remove the cover over the rear of the HID bulb, at the rear of headlight, and then unplug the connector from the HID bulb. Remove the bulb from the reflector. The bulb will usually be held in place by a retaining ring that needs to be twisted to release the bulb.
