DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CROSS-REFERENCE INFORMATION FOR A JOHN DEERE OIL FILTER AM125424C? THEY APPEAR TO BE MADE BY CHAMPION LABS AND HOME DEPOT GOUGES, I MEAN CHARGES $10 FOR THEM--I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT IF I CAN PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT FILTER A LOT CHEAPER UNDER OTHER BRAND NAMES SO I NEED CROSS-REFERENCE INFORMATION. Madmike' My NAPA (WIX) catalog lists an AM125424 (no "C") cross referencing to a NAPA filter 1056. 1056 crosses over to a Purolator L35310. If these are not common car filters, they may not be stocked at many places. A NAPA gold will run about $5 to $6. As always, I tell everyone to confirm these numbers for yourself. Cross referencing sometimes yields mistakes. A JoinedMar 17, 2005Messages894LocationLI, NY
Here's a list I originally found on here, I made a few revisions to.

I just bought a ST3614 (492932 Briggs) filter for my Craftsman. It's easier to remember to that a filter from a 95 Neon will cross to the tractor, the only difference is the length. i found the info here and gardenweb. S JoinedNov 24, 2003Messages272LocationEllicott City, MD

My JD LX178 uses the same filter as a 1991 Geo Prizm. It crosses over to a Fram PH4386 or a ACDelco PF1234. My engine is a Kawasaki 2-cylinder waterpumper and I don't believe it uses the same filters as the Home Depot products. R JoinedMay 18, 2004Messages709LocationCT

Are these direct cross-references from a catalog or are you guessing based on filter dimensions? I'm just wondering why the ST 3614 does not come up as a cross reference in any of the catalogs or the Motorcraft---is there any danger in using these instead of the direct cross referenced filters from the chart above which I have confirmed? Thanks! A JoinedMar 17, 2005Messages894LocationLI, NY
Some of the cross references take a little more work. The 3614 cross to a fram based on gasket, can size and bypass. Some of the above cross references can't be found on automotive shelfs which negates the purpose. I just look up a 95 Dodge Neon, that's my cross and easy to remember. I am late to the party, judging from the date of the original post, but you might try a John Deere tractor dealership for the filters. My experience is that the Deere mowers themselves are expensive, but service and especially parts are cheap. |
