    At first I thought I was doing something wrong by putting in the filter but then tested the old filter and it fit on the thread perfectly. I tried placing the new one on the thread and it was to big. Be careful if you have a ford 1999 explorer v6 this is the wrong size and you will lose your money. It will say in store and online that it fits but it DOES NOT.
