Cons:It wasn’t very clean. It was filthy either. But there were dust piles in the corners, as if someone just swept the floors and left it there. The bathroom had brown droplets dried on the walls that were very easily wiped off. The mattress sits on a wooden platform, and the platform was covered with dust, hair, and crumbs from different breads and cookies that people had eaten over the preceding days (or weeks). I highly doubt it’s an issue with individual housekeepers; they’re probably just understaffed and rushing the ones they do have. But as other reviewers have pointed out, cleanliness clearly is not a priority at this property. Pros:Room, breakfast, location, service Cons:The lobby assistant, Wolfgang was amazing. The staff serving breakfast were conscientious and welcoming. Great staff. Pros:Beds very comfortable; shower heats up nicely and has good pressure; midtown location convenient to Broadway and elsewhere via Subway. Cons:Breakfast and Happy Hour almost unapproachable due to overcrowding of the venue and poorly designed elevators. Took 15-20 minutes to get an elevator in and out of the 4th-floor breakfast area every single time. 60 West 37th Street, New York, NY 10018
