In today’s post I’m going to share my favorite tips and tricks for doing a lighter makeup application to get a flawless, fresh, glowy finish for spring! I’m so excited to be partnered with COVERGIRL on this one because they sent me their newly refreshed COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless collection of products to try.

I’ve been using the products for a couple of weeks and I’m really pleased with how these products look and perform. I hadn’t tried many COVERGIRL foundations, primers, or concealers before so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I’m so glad COVERGIRL sent them because I’m loving how light and perfect they are for a fresh spring look!

Tip #1: Apply Primer Only Where You Need It
I used the Simply Ageless Anti-Aging Foundation Primer by dotting small amounts just in the places that have enlarged pores or wrinkles and pressing it into those areas to help them look smoother. What I love most about the Anti-Aging Foundation Primer is that it contains glycerin, niacinamide, vitamin e, and peptides to help moisturize and brighten skin.
Dot Concealer Only Where You Need It!
It’s got a water and silicone base that doesn’t feel like a heavy, greasy silicone primer. It feels much more like a serum or moisturizer, and because of the ingredients you could even use this instead of your morning serum to save a step and lighten up your routine.
Tip #2: Keep Under Eye Concealer in the Fridge
The De-Puffer has a metal dispenser that feels cool and refreshing on the under eye area when it’s right out of the refrigerator!
The light weight, fluid formula keeps undereye wrinkles looking more youthful.
If you apply too much, just blot the excess with a split tissue and it wears great all day.
Tip #3: Use a Blending Sponge to Apply Foundation
To get a fresh, flawless finish, apply with a slightly damp blending sponge. The sponge sheers out the foundation giving a more natural look, but you can still build up the coverage you need and get a smooth finish. This foundation covers over tonal issues very well and it looks very natural. It has a lovely semi-dewy, semi-matte finish that doesn’t look like you’re wearing any makeup.
Apply Foundation With A Slightly Damp Blending Sponge for a Flawless Finish!
I had never tried COVERGIRL 3-In-1 liquid foundation and I’m so glad I got the chance to try it. It’s my favorite product in the collection because it contains all those great skin loving ingredients from the Olay serum plus it’s a great looking foundation that doesn’t settle into fine lines, wrinkles!
I used my blending sponge to apply the Instant Wrinkle Defying Foundation as well. It comes in a compact with a sponge applicator that’s convenient to use for touch-ups on the go.
This foundation is surprisingly light for a compact because of the swirl of Olay serum. It has a lovely skin like finish that looks fresh for spring. The wear was a little disappointing with this one, but the addition of the primer really helps it to look it’s best longer.
