While you have thermometer off, hold both bottoms down for 5 seconds. At least this is what worked for the particular thermometer I have.

Hi shay shay, to change to Fahrenheit or Celsius first switch off the thermometer. Whilst it is off press and hold the button for 3-5 seconds until you see F in the LCD screen. It will now read in Fahrenheit. You can do the same to switch back to Celsius.

While thermometer is OFF, press/hold scan button for about 5 seconds until you see the F or C.

I’ve too have been faced with the frustration of changing the thermometer from C to F.
The good news is I have a guaranteed solution other than throwing it in the fireplace
In the “ON” position PRESS “MODE BUTTON” for 2 SECONDS SCREEN WILL DISPLAY F1
THEN PRESS “MODE BUTTON” TO SWITCH BETWEEN C AND F ONCE DISPLAY IS F PRESS “MEMORY BUTTON” ONCE TO SAVE.

Can we change thermometer from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, you can press and hold the power button when the thermometer is off, this will change units to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit (and back if needed). You can also read about this in the instructions for the thermometer you received in the package.
