Actually all you gotte do is go to find my phone app and play a lost sound on it and just look for the sound I just did it and I fond mine

If you are on your own iPhone and try to play a sound for your iPhone in Find My, it will not play a sound, at first. You will get a vibration warning, then the sound should start after that. My sound appeared after the vibration and the receipt of the email saying that Find My played a sound on my iPhone.

So you did not receive the vibration or the sound? Are you signed in with the same Apple ID? Try going to www.icloud.com/find, then log in with your Apple ID and attempt to play a sound there.

I’ve been trying so hard to find my Apple Watch which I seem to have misplaced, I remember bringing it into my house which is a start but when trying to find the exact location, are use the play sound function on the find my iPhone app to hear it play a sound. The watch when I last had it was on silent I believe so I turned that off in the app on my phone and turned off the haptics and notification noise. The watch is still not playing sound, the find my iPhone function is not working. Is this a fault in my watch or is a problem people seem to have?

I misplaced my watch and tried to use my “find my” app from my iPhone to locate it. It said it was playing sound and I got email confirmation every time it “played” but there was no sound. I eventually found it and although all other sounds and notifications work I hear nothing when I try to ping my watch from the find my app. I’ve seen this question asked on here before but there wasn’t a solution yet. Any ideas now? If it matters my watch is a series 3.

Now from the list of your Apple devices tap on the Apple Watch you want to play sound on.The Watch should appear on a map along with other Apple devices owned by you.Tap on the Watch icon.

Finally from the menu tap on the ‘Play Sound’ button. This should start playing a pinging sound on your Apple Watch, which would help you in finding where it is.

Hello, my watch is not on mute, the sound is rather loud when a phone call or message comes in. But when I use the "Find my" app, select the watch and click "play sound", it shows as "now playing" in the app, but the watch remains silent. I've seen others describe this problem but I have not seen a usable solution. All the sound settings on the watch are on.

I'd also like to know if it's possible to play the "Find my" sound when the watch is on mute, because I probably won't remember to unmute it before I misplace it. I don't want my watch to make any noise, only when I want to locate it with the "Find my" app.

Suggestions welcome.

The sound should play regardless of whether or not the watch is muted.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

How to restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Why can't I hear the sound on Find My iPhone?

If those are the steps you're using, but you're still not hearing the sound, try restarting your iPhone and attempt to play the sound again. You may also want to check for any available updates for your iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You'll want to have a current backup prior to updating.

What if I can't Find My Apple Watch and its dead?

Visit https://www.icloud.com/find or use the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad to locate devices associated with your Apple ID. Once you sign in to Find My, select Devices or All Devices, then select your Apple Watch if it appears on the map.

Why can't I hear my Apple Watch Ping?

Restart Your iPhone and Apple Watch. So, it's best to restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch to get rid of the Apple Watch not pinging on the iPhone issue. Here's how to restart your iPhone: Begin by pressing and holding the Side button, and release it once the slider appears.

Can I make my Apple Watch make a sound to find it?

Sign in at iCloud.com or use the Find My app to see your watch on a map. If your watch is nearby, you can tap Play Sound to help you find it. Your watch rings until you tap Dismiss. If you don't see your watch on the map, then it might not be connected to Wi-Fi, cellular, or your paired iPhone.
