Show This year's event schedule spans the stateThe Alabama Golf Association staff is about to get busy. The AGA will work a total of 26 tournaments stretching from Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club, Canebrake Club and the RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in the north all the way to The Lakewood Club and the RTJ Golf Trail Magnolia Grove in the south. The season begins March 24 at Willow Point Golf and Country Club with the Ladies Two-Person Scramble. It ends with the Alabama State Senior/Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at Valley Hill Country Club on Oct. 14-16. The Alabama State 13-under Junior Championship will be contested at Highland Park Golf Club, June 22-23, (Photo courtesy of the Alabama Golf Association)Also, the Country Club of Birmingham will host the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship May 14-18. RECENT TOURNAMENTS How do I find local golf tournaments?PGA Professionals at most golf courses host a lot of tournaments and the staff is typically very knowledgeable about different events in the area. Talk to your local course pro and let them know what you are looking for and they should be able to provide you a list of events either at their course or courses nearby.
Does the PGA play in Alabama?The first three editions of the tournament were played in Alabama at the Grand National course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, northeast of Auburn.
