We have a couple of MTD 990 garden tractors from the 70's. The stock rear tires were 27x9.50-15 Carlisle turf tires. The rim is 15x7. I am looking for either an ag tread or turf tire. What tire options are available to me? There is plenty of room under the fenders for a 27x10.50-15 tire. In general, will this size tire work well on a 15x7 rim? We have 20 acres in Northern Michigan. The tractors are used to mow the fields, plow snow, and haul trailer fulls of logs out of the woods.
