Products Discussed inThe Jeep air suspension control module (56029558AJ) works with the height sensors, air bags, solenoids, air compressors, and the rest of the air suspension system of your vehicle. This control module monitors the running and correction time of your compressor. It also sets a code that disables the car pump if the compressor takes too long in correcting the ride height. The module also checks the system integrity by scanning the reservoir pressure or compressor runtime. Jeep ride control modules may run into several problems over time. These issues include an illuminated air ride suspension light, a bumpy ride, and an uneven ride height. Your module can cause uncomfortable drives and unbalanced height when it sends the wrong data to your air suspension system. Replacing the part with a new one is recommended if your Jeep experiences any of the symptoms mentioned. JeepsAreUs offers genuine Mopar air suspension modules for select Jeep models. These Jeep parts are produced using the same materials and technology as factory modules. OEM Jeep control modules also go through rigorous tests to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. Our suspension modules and other Mopar Jeep parts are 100% genuine and brand new products sold for less than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. We do not sell used or aftermarket products. Mar 29, 2020 It took a minute because I couldn’t find it under the passenger front seat where the dealer told me it was then I found it under the driver seat, does anybody know if this jeep can still be driven if I remove it? I’m guessing I can’t hurt since it’s supposed to be broken anyway. Joined

If your vehicle is at normal ride height you should be able to safely drive it while you arrange for a fix, but I personally would keep that to required driving only. But if it's slammed...nope. Not a good idea. I also wouldn't remove the controller until a replacement is ready to go just in case something would suddenly change the ride height. Joined Mar 7, 2020 · 23 Posts
Discussion Starter · #4 · Mar 29, 2020 Ok thank you, at first it was slammed, terrible ride! after the dealer got done filling the nitrogen and trying to figure out the problem etc... it is now up all the way? The little lights are flashing by the selective knob and it won’t lower. There are no leaks that they could find and the compressor was replaced as well. They say they can’t get
the module to react to anything they tell it to do. I did notice that my radio stations etc.. are still programmed the way we had it so that tell me the battery wasn’t unhooked for the 30 minute period, if I was to unhook the battery for over night do you think that would do reset? Discussion Starter · #6 · Apr 14, 2020 Well, I bought a control module from a salvage yard, after plugging it in the Jeep went to normal ride height. So it’s not stuck all the way up now... I took it to the dealer because they said the new module would need to be flashed/reprogramed.... they just called and said they can’t reflash it because it’s a vin specific part? So the Jeep is
still not fixed, can’t select ride height etc... atleast it’s not stuck all the way up and the little lights by the selector knob aren’t flashing... still disappointing though. Any ideas? Joined Mar 8, 2017 · 2,294 Posts
Sounds like it's time for a second opinion. If you feel daring you might be able to make some headway with AlfaOBD and the factory service manual. Joined Mar 7, 2020 · 23 Posts
Discussion Starter · #8 · Apr 15, 2020 Thank you, I called another Jeep dealer that’s a few hours away and the service manager says it sounds like that they were correct, that since the ascm came from another Jeep it won’t work and they can’t wipe the old vin off it and add my Jeeps vin.. running out of money on this thing..🤦♂️ Joined Jul 23, 2021 · 10 Posts
Anyone know where it’s located? And what year jeeps are the same part? Your post is over a year old, but I’m wondering if you got it fixed. I have a 2012 with the same problem, but I can’t get the part because “chip shortages”. It’s stuck in OR2 and theride is a nightmare. I’m tearing up the whole
front end, but it’s my only vehicle. I don’t know what to do.
