2 lines on clear blue pregnancy test

Results 6 days before the missed period1

The Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test allows women to test as early as 6 days before the missed period, which is 5 days before the day of the expected period.1

The level of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) rises rapidly in early pregnancy. This rise in hCG can vary from woman to woman, and not all pregnant women who test before the day of her missed period will get a positive (pregnant) result.

In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples, Clearblue Early Detection gave the following results: Table One: Likelihood that a pregnant woman will get a positive (pregnant) result with the Clearblue Early Pregnancy Test when testing in the days leading up to the day of the missed period

The Clearblue Early Pregnancy Test product pack and instructions for use contain clear information regarding early testing, allowing women to make an informed choice about when to test.

Over 99% accurate3

If used on or after the day of the expected period, the Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test is more than 99% accurate at detecting pregnancy.3

Unique Floodguard ™ Technology

Clearblue is the first and only brand with Floodguard™ Technology which helps to reduce the #1 reported usage error by >70%4 and gives women results they can be confident in. The unique Floodguard™ Technology in the Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test collects excess urine that could otherwise cause the test to work incorrectly.

Innovative ergonomic design

The innovative design of the Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test features:

  • A longer, ergonomically designed handle
  • A wider, colour-changing tip so the user knows that urine has been absorbed
  • A large, easy-to-read results window

Easy-to-read results

A line in the test window and the small control window indicates a positive (pregnant) result. It does not matter if one of the lines is lighter or darker than the other; the result is still positive.

A single line in the control window only indicates a negative (not pregnant) result. Women who receive an initial negative result when testing early should test again on the day of their expected period.

2 lines on clear blue pregnancy test

Is there suppose to always be two lines on the strip!?

There will always be 2 lines- pregnant or not. That is why you do not open a digital test. It is not meant to to be opened.

Yes. With this type of test, there will always be two lines on the strip. As soon as you open the test, it becomes invalid. The only thing you need to worry about is if it says pregnant or not pregnant.

Lines? Are you breaking open the test? This is a digital test. It literally says the words pregnant or not pregnant where on earth are seeing lines?

Same question! Not pregnant shown but double lines inside for me. I will Wait until my supposed M day and take another test.

No, it should only have two lines if your urine tests positive. With this test it clearly states pregnant or not pregnant, so you shouldn't have to worry about the lines.

It was incredibly disappointing (and one lucky Google person actually ended up pregnant after getting a negative on the test and seeing the two lines, so of course her idea was that it was just too faint for the digital part of the test to read...but nope, doesn't seem to be the actual case--she just got lucky.
On another note, the new FRERs are really bad for false positives and blue dye tests are bad for dye runs, so watch out for those in future tests. Good luck. :) see less

What does 2 lines mean on a pregnancy test Clearblue?

Some pregnancy tests, like the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test, will give you a clear answer in words like 'Pregnant' or 'Not Pregnant', however, many tests will show two lines if you're pregnant.

What does 2 lines mean on a pregnancy test?

But after taking a home test, you may notice a faint positive line. With some home pregnancy tests, one line means the test is negative and you're not pregnant, and two lines mean the test is positive and you are pregnant.

How can you tell if Clearblue is positive?

For your result to be 'Pregnant' (positive) there must be a blue line in the control window and a '+' symbol in the result window within 10 minutes of testing. It does not matter if one of the lines that make up the '+' symbol is lighter or darker than the other; the result is 'Pregnant'.

Does clear blue digital always have 2 lines?

A: No, it should only have two lines if your urine tests positive. With this test it clearly states pregnant or not pregnant, so you shouldn't have to worry about the lines.
