Why do you have to wait 48 hours to block someone again on Facebook?

Why do I have to wait 48 hours before blocking someone again? Facebook's 48-hour waiting period exists to prevent people from abusing the blocking feature. For example, it prevents a user from unblocking someone, harassing them and immediately blocking them again to avoid being called out or reported.

How soon can you block someone after unblocking them on Facebook?

If you were friends before blocking them, you'll have to add them as a friend again, as Facebook automatically unfriends someone you blocked. You can't block someone for 48 hours after you unblock them.

What happens after unblocking someone on Facebook?

When you unblock a profile, that profile will be able to see your posts on Facebook that you share with the public. The profile won't automatically become your friend on Facebook. If you want to become friends with a profile you've unblocked, you'll need to send a friend request to that profile.
