The Wrangler is one of the current models being produced by the company and it comes in a variety of trim levels like the Sport and the Sahara. The main difference between the Sahara and the Sport is their trim level. The Sport is the basic model and it comes with the barest of necessities. The Sahara is just right above the Sport and comes with a few minor upgrades. When it comes to performance the two are virtually identical as they both have the same engine, same transmission, and the like. The most noticeable upgrade in the Sahara is the bigger and wider rims that it has. Instead of the 16 inch rims of the Sport, the Sahara has 18 inch rims that are wider by half an inch. Of course, larger tires perform better off-road and the increased width give it better traction on the road. The Sahara also comes with a keyfob for remote keyless entry, which the Sport sadly lacks. It also has a panic button that will automatically kill the engine; very useful in case of emergencies. If you want to obtain these on the Sport, you need to pay an additional cost to the base price of the vehicle. The entertainment system of the Sahara has also been improved by a bit. To complement the AM/FM radio that you will find in the Sport and other vehicles, the Sahara is equipped with a Sirius satellite radio. The number of speakers has also been increased from 6 in the Sport to 7 in the Sahara. Lastly, the side mirrors of the Sahara are heated and can be controlled remotely. The latter is just a matter of convenience but the former can be very useful if you live in cold climates. Virtually all of the upgrades in the Sahara can be obtained in the Sport by way of premium add-ons. If you like the barebones model, the Sport is suited for you. If you are getting all the options anyway, you would probably have to pay as much with Sport as you will for the basic Sahara. Summary:

Well, you can have a sport, or a sport unlimited. The unlimited refers to the 4 door model. You can get all trim levels (X, Sport, Sahara, Rubicon) in either a 2 door or 4 door (Unlimited) model. Hope that clears up the confusion. Kevin

Well, a Sport is the base trim that you can get on a wrangler, 2-door and 4-door. The Unlimited is the 4-door Wrangler and you can get an Unlimited Sport which is the 4-door with sport trim. It goes Sport, Sahara and Rubicon with a few other special trims like the Mountain and Islander.

Sport is a trim level. i.e. You get "these" options with a Sport, you get "those" options with a Sahara or Rubicon. Unlimited=4 doors. A Wrangler Sport will be a 2 door model with the sport trim package. A Wrangler Sahara Unlimited will be a 4 door model with the Sahara package.

'cause I don't know-(and yes I realize this is the JK forum) but have the trim levels been "moved around? like was a sport closer to a Rubi-but not as plush as a Sahara-but an upgrade from an x-with the TJ and did the YJ ever use more than the Sahara and x my '94 was a ???????????? can't remember.
