How do I send documents to Social Security?

You can upload documents by using the Send Response for Individual Case link on the Electronic Records Express Home page. The upload function is also available while accessing a claimant's electronic folder through the Access Claimant's Electronic Folder link.

How do I contact Social Security from abroad?

You can call our office at 410-965-0160. You will need to pay for the call because we do not currently have a toll-free service for calls from outside the U.S. If you call, please do so between 9:00am and 4:00pm Eastern U.S. Time.

Can you mail to Social Security?

In most cases, you can take or mail this signed application with your documents to any Social Security office. Any documents you mail to us will be returned to you.
