The car rides smooth for an SUV, and gets acceptable mileage. The v6 engine gives the SUV enough passing power to do the trick, but offers a mostly smooth, quiet ride even for long distances. We recently moved across a good portion of the country which took more than two days. We had the car packed tight and had to bring our 70 pound dog with us. We were nervous at first that there was not enough room, but we made it without a hitch. The kids watched movies most of the way and the dog was actually quite comfortable. We stopped at Graceland along the way and had a very positive trip. The best feature is probably the navigation system, which is bright and well displayed, with many features including Bluetooth usability with external devices. The overhead DVD screen separating the front seats from the rear is large with a solid HD display. The middle seats are captain chairs which offer luxury with leather trim, and the third row seating is made for any size person, not just small children. (more) While the mileage is decent, it could be better for a v6 SUV, as the Jeep Grand Cherokee we previously owned seemed to do slightly better in this area. The third row seats do fold down; however, they don't come down all the way as they end up butting up against the captains chairs.
