The Taste of Black STL will host over 60 vendors at the Midtown development this weekend, highlighting the quality, diversity and economic impact of Black-owned food businesses both here and across the state. The festival is scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 9pm each day with a lineup of food sampling, chef battles, musical performances and more.

"The atmosphere is just gonna be family and fun and a whole lot of food," says Aisha James, founder of the event. "Just expect to have a really great time."

Admission is free with food for purchase from vendors selling everything from barbecue to mashed potatoes and cookies to jar desserts. For those who really want to embrace the weekend, VIP tickets are available for $50 each day or for $125 for the whole weekend and include a private area with balcony views, private bars, private bathrooms and more. Available to all, there will also be a "kids corner," a young business corner featuring entrepreneurs under the age of 18, COVID-19 vaccinations, STD testing and a 360-degree photo booth.
