Sylvester stallone abandoned house in maryland

Yo, Adrian! Need a house? Because the childhood home of the A-list actor Sylvester Stallone is on the market for $719,000.

Settled on a sleepy street in the Washington, DC, suburb of Silver Spring, MD, the brick Cape Cod was built in 1952. It landed on the market back in 2017 for $750,000, but no buyer took a swing at the place—even after a series of price cuts.

Three years later, aside from its connection to a youthful Stallone, the well-pedigreed place has plenty of other positives.

It's immaculately maintained, but a new owner may want to freshen up the look just a bit.

The four-bedroom home measures in at 2,525 square feet and boasts hardwood floors, plenty of storage, and a backyard play area for the kids.

The fully finished, walk-out basement would be ideal for in-laws or even a live-in nanny.

The listing details tout its proximity to shopping, dining, and even a Whole Foods.

Although the specific details are fuzzy, the home's listing agent, Alfredo Duque, told us Stallone and his family lived in the area for about a decade during the late 1950s and early '60s.

He added that Stallone was bullied terribly for his stutter by the other kids and was expelled from two elementary schools during his time there. His parents were both local business people. His dad operated a beauty school, and his mom owned a gym for women.

Today, Stallone lives in much grander style, as the iconic star of "Rocky," "Rambo," and "The Expendables," with his wife of more than two decades, Jennifer Flavin.

It's just a regular 4 bedroom house. His family lived there in the 50's when he was a kid.

level 2

That one car with the Sly plate on it was once owned by Sly Stone of Sly and the Family stone. See my comments above.

level 2

No. Not true. His brother ststed this is/ was not any Stallone home ever.

When is this video from? The house in Maryland wasn’t a mansion, it was less than 2500 sq ft and sold for 700k last summer and was far from abandoned

level 2

It looks like it was posted to YouTube 3 years ago

This isn't the silver spring house he lived in. Not even close. His childhood home was on the market in 2017. You can see pictures of it. This ain't it.

Probably some stash house and the owner is locked up as part of the crack epidemic. Maybe those are Rayful Edmonds' cars

I do not believe that first Corvette is a Stingray ..... it is a Corvette but too new to be a Sting Ray models. The name "Stingray " was tagged to Vettes made from 1963-1967, 1969-1976, and 2014 - Present.

level 2

Damn dude, you got owned by JackWagon

level 2

It definitely is a stingray

level 2

1963-67 was Sting Ray, and 1969-75 was Stingray.

It's only a matter of time before this place is destroyed by looters and squatters. I cant believe he would let his origin family home be left to ruin. This is the curse of money and bowing to that. You forget. You lose sight of what REAL wealth is.

level 2

It's actually Sly Stones house, and it was abandoned due to what I can only assume is drug induced paranoia, he was an addict for years and lives in a mobile home outside his mates place, he's too scared to go into his house.

level 2

Maybe it doesn’t mean to him what it does to others..

level 2

Look at the family home now though...

level 2

Looks as if it's been there a while. Who knows if it's even real

level 2

You forget that he was homeless in his later years before becoming famous. He was homeless as he was writing rocky. For all we know he probably has issues with being there or even owning it.

level 2

He hated his family. His father was incredibly abusive and his mother did nothing. He couldn’t wait to get out of there. He’s abandoning the house makes perfect sense if you know his life story

level 2

This isn't his house lol.
