Since 2016. Our Senior World Barrel Race in Texarkana, AR March 2019 was Awesome. We had 486 entries. We would like to Thank Everyone for coming and being a part of this event for us Seniors, contestants, vendors and sponsors. We look forward to everyone. This is "OUR TIME", young guns watch out, the older generation still has it. Walkers, depends, rubber bands, magic seats, Geritol,Tylenol, and Advil are all accepted and expected. Ladies and Gentlemen are all welcome. All eyes are on you "SENIORS 50 and Over" its your time to shine. Timers have been checked the ground is being prepped, So look out Texarkana and the Barrel Racing World for Fun and Laughter and renewing of old friendships. Thursday, Friday and Saturday runs are for the 50 and over contestants.

No Additional fee for Finals.

  • Open: $265
  • Senior: $165 You can carry over your open run to the Senior Class.
    You would have to make a separate run for Senior and Open Finals if you make both.***
  • Super Senior: $65
  • Sweepstakes: $125

All Sidepots: $50 | Men, Women, Helmet, Youth and Prime

  • Men – Open to all male riders
  • Women – Open to all female riders
  • Troxel Helmet – Open to all riders who compete in a safety helmet (any brand)
  • Prime – Open to all riders between the ages of 19 and 49.
  • Open Redemption Round: $80 (entries not open until at event)
  • Senior Redemption Round: $60 (entries not open until at event)

Mail-In Entry Processing Fee: $50 plus 4% convenience fee for credit card payments
Online Entry: 4% processing fee only.

Important Dates:

  • Mail-In Entries must be postmarked by 09/30 to avoid late fees
  • We strongly suggest using trackable mailing methods
  • Online regular entries close on 10/07 at midnight EST
  • Late entries ONLY accepted online through 10/21 at midnight EST
  • Late fee is $100/horse
  • Absolutely no late entries after 10/21
  • Vet/Med Outs 10/07 or prior, result in a full refund less the processing fee
  • Vet/Med Outs 10/07-10/30 result in a 70% refund of entries, no refund on stalls or processing fee with valid Vet/Doctor Note

Finalist Information:

  • Open: Top 25 in each go-round advance to Finals.
  • Senior: Top 10 in each go-round advance to Finals.
  • Round 2 will roll beyond the cut off placings if any horse and rider team is already qualified
  • All Finalists will receive a Gist buckle for each qualified horse no exceptions
  • Additional chance to qualify to the Finals in 2022: The Redemption Round. Info listed below

Stalls:

  • The entire event stall price of $150 includes 3 bags of shavings.
  • NEW FACILITY RULE THIS YEAR NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS ARE ALLOWED* *allergy exception with vet note
  • Shaving facility prices are $7 and pellets are available for $8
  • Almost every stall will be on concrete.
  • Stall mat rental can be rented here from our official vendor, Greenbroke Farms for $120/stall (pre-order price): https://www.greenbrokefarmservices.com/contract-agreement.
  • You do not have to know your stall to reserve mats. The NBHA office send a stall list to Greenbroke prior to event.
  • Stalls will be assigned first-come, first-served.
  • Online entries will definitely have a better chance at being “first-come” as they open on May 2nd at 7 PM EST. Paper entries will be available on the 2nd as well and would be input within a reasonable time upon receipt by mail.
  • The foolproof way to get your friends and yourself stalled together is to have one of you buy all the stalls on one entry.
  • There will be a NOTE SECTION online to include your stall preferences and whom you want to be grouped with if purchasing separately from your friends. Suggestion: Use a group name, and make sure all people in your group use the same name, and preferably a total number of how many stalls will be in your group.

Haul Ins:

  • Haul Ins allowed for a one-time $50 per horse fee
  • Parking lot for haul ins – to be determine.
  • Haul Ins must pay for all horses in the trailer, no exceptions
  • If you are only planning on entering the Sweepstakes race there will be a $25 Haul In Fee

Exhibitions:

  • Entries, stalls and exhibitions open on May 2, 2022 at 7:00:01 pm EST on www.Saddlebook.com. Don’t wait, build your Saddlebook.com profile now!
  • LIMIT ONE EXHIBITIONS PER HORSE ENTRY.
  • Exhibitions must be purchased by the competing member in SaddleBook.com. Do not attempt to purchase exhibitions for anyone else. No refunds.

  • Exhibitions are not guaranteed and only available while supplies last. Any unsold time slots will be sold at check-in.

Payment Plan Available for Online Entries:

  • Entries open on May 2, 2021 at 7:00:01 pm EST
  • Online entries will accept all major credit cards.
  • Choose the ‘Payment Plan’ option to at checkout break your total entry sum into three payments spaced 4 weeks apart each.
  • The Payment Plan option will expire on July 29th and not be available for new entries taken from that point on.
  • Please use a credit card that does not expire during the upcoming months. Incomplete charges that are not cleared up with the office in a timely matter will result in DQ.

Highlighted Rules:

  1. All horses on the grounds must have a stall or pay a haul-in fee.
  2. The same horse cannot be ridden more than once per class (Family Exception – See Rulebook)
  3. You must name your horse at time of entry and must use registered names, if available
    Horse substitutions allowed.
  4. $25 fee per horse substitutions after the draw.
  5. Anyone substituting 2 or more horses will have their horses redrawn in their draw positions as well as paying the $25 fee per horse.
  6. No horse swaps allowed after your 1st draw position has past.
  7. Rider substitutions not allowed.
  8. Check-in is required prior to your first drawn position in your first event, or contestant will be fined $50.
  9. NBHA Check in is at table under overhang or at NBHA Office in Reaves Arena.
  10. Guard Shack check in is for the facility.
  11. Maximum 5 horses entered in a class per qualified contestant
  12. Follow Georgia state regulations for coggins & health certificate requirements
  13. Dress code strictly enforced.
  14. Helpers in the holding must have closed toe shoes.
  15. Absolutely no bareback riding at any time – Saddles must be used when horseback
  16. Returned check fee = $35
  17. Dress Code, 1st Offense = Warning, 2nd Offense = $50 Fine
  18. Hat Fine = $10
  19. Hat retrieval is up to the contestant. They are to pick up at the closest barrel or gate that it came off the same day it occurred.
  20. All final decisions are determined by the show office.

Membership is open only to women and applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age to join, with the exception of the WPRA Junior Barrel and the 17 and under Roping programs. In order to become a member, you must agree to read and abide by the rules of the association as set forth each year in its rulebook.
