We are sure you practiced this drill after watching the film 15 years ago. No, it doesn’t solve any problems magically but it surely changes your vibe. Though it would be so much better if an Aman (Shah Rukh Khan) would come around to teach us how to do it perfectly. Whoops!

"Tumhare paas jo hai tumhare hisaab se kam hai, kissi aur ki nazar se dekho, toh tumhare paas bahut kuch hai..."

The film definitely taught a full generation to be grateful for the kind of lover/love they have. Appreciating your loved one and their presence in your life never goes out of fashion and well, Aman just showed it perfectly. Naina learns not just how to appreciate herself from him, but also how to be grateful for a lot of other people and conditions in her life.

“Yeh tofa nahi sawaal hai, kya Subhash Ghai ki picture Taal hai?”

Sorry! We apologize. But, it was too cute when Rohit (Saif Ali Khan) sent a letter to Naina (Preity Zinta) forcefully trying to rhyme the words. There is nothing cuter than a man making a fool out of himself just to make his girl smile, isn’t it? Humor always works!

“Pyar ka pehla kadam dosti hai, aur akhri bhi”

The movie reiterated that friendship is an integral part of a romantic relationship. It was adorable to see the changes that Saif’s character Rohit went through as he slowly fell in love with his best friend, Naina.

“Main aankhen band karta hoon toh tumhe dekhta hoon … aankhen kholta hoon toh tumhe dekhna chahta hoon”

The kind of love that makes you want to be with the person who you love, all the time, that’s the kind of love that this movie taught us about. Whether it is Naina, Aman or Rohit all three of them experience love on a level which makes them always want to be with the one that they truly love.

“Jo ladka tumhari figure ko dekhke pyaar karega…wo galat karega”

Yes, thank God for Shah Rukh Khan! When his character Aman tells Naina’s friend Sweetu that she should not worry about her figure just to fall in love, it made us all eat a bar of chocolate without worrying about our crushes.

“Main tumhe zindagi bhar pyaar karoonga aur marte dum tak pyaar karoonga… aur uske baad bhi.”

When Aman reads out his feelings from a blank page in Rohit’s diary, it is evident that love cannot stay hidden for long. The scene taught us that confessing your love will always take you a step forward. Don’t be scared, it is better to reveal what’s in your heart than to regret not saying it.

“Naina, is dil ki mohabbat mein bohot taakat hai, lekin yeh dil bohot kamzor hai”

It is better to let go of a love that makes your beloved unhappy. Yes it’s the toughest part, but it is better to let go of someone you love, then to make them suffer.

“Socho, socho … aur sochne ke liye main tumhe apni saari zindagi deta hoon”

Never pester someone you love to respond in the way that you want to. Tell them how you feel and let them decide for themselves. This iconic dialogue just makes us believe in the perfect kind of love.

“Jitna tum ladki ke peeche bhaagoge utna hi woh tumse door bhaagegi … agar tum ladki ke peeche nahi bhaagoge toh woh confuse ho jayegi aur tumhare peeche bhaagegi “

Women are definitely a tough sex to understand. Umm! A little less attention from the one who you’re used to having around all the time does give a sharp knock on the head.

“Pyar toh bahut log karte hai … lekin mere jaisa pyar koi nahi kar sakta kyun ki kisi ke paas tum joh nahi ho”

When Aman expressed his love for Naina it made all the girls blush as they couldn’t help but notice the intent with which he expresses his feelings for her. We must say, it was a love like no other!

“Cheh Din Ladki In…Sirf Cheh Din…Kyunki Main Sundays Ko Kaam Nahi Karta”

This one is for the friends who give the trashiest love advice that kind of works in the middle but then ruins everything. HAHAHA! We can still imagine the cool walk that Saif did while entering his class. Sometimes you do need a little bit of help from love gurus but on other times, just go with what you feel.

“Only asking you to dance yaar..not maarooing chance”

This scene made sure that we realize that love needs to blossom slowly, with taking baby steps together. Be it a dance class or anywhere else, as long as you guys can have fun doing something together, it’s all good. Well, who doesn’t like a partner who matches perfectly with your steps, no?

“Suno, jeeyo, kush raho, muskurao…kya pata kal ho na ho”

Seize the day my friends! Stop living in the past and planning the future, if you love something or someone, tell them today. Don’t be ashamed of something that you truly feel, Kya pata, Kal Ho Na Ho.

“Sachai ka saamna main kar sakta hun Aman, par yaadon se ladne ki taakat nahi hai mujhme”

That’s the toughest lesson that we learned from the film, yes it’s the toughest to let go of beautiful memories of a person. However to move ahead in life all of us have to jump, hop and skip to a better and happier future.
