Plan B can affect your periods! So it's probably just late period.

level 1

I have been triggered by the presence of the word "late" in your post. If my reply does not fit the context of your post, please ignore me. A "late" period is not in itself cause for alarm! Most women are a bit irregular and even if you believe yourself to have a perfect clockwork cycle, it's normal and common to occasionally have one that doesn't fit the mold. Please refer to these posts over at r/TryingForABaby to learn why your period might not be here when you expected it.

Your period isn't late pt 1.

Your period isn't late pt. 2

If you believe your absent period is genuinely a sign of pregnancy, take a test.

The symptoms of early pregnancy are very similar to pre-period symptoms! IIRC, it’s the progesterone. Plan B can cause all kinds of unusual for your body, too, in terms of your cycle. :) My guess is late period.

If the last time you had sex when back on day 5, then no you are absolutely not pregnant. Plan B causes a bleed and resets your cycle, so you’ll need to wait longer to get your next period

Okay, so about 7 weeks ago now I too did 2 pregnancy tests and both came back negative... but my period was almost 2 weeks late... I didnt expect it to come back positive as I have been on the pill for years.... anyway feeling relieved to find it came back negative I kind of put it aside for the time being...

However... when my period had still not come another 2 weeks later and I my boobs grew just enough for me to notice the change... I did another test = PREGNANT!! And the blood test and ultrasound confirmed it...

I was just under 6 weeks pregnant... I am in no position to become a parent at this point in my life and neither is my partner of 4 years... So we were comfortable organizing a termination... which I had done just under two weeks or so now - Also, I apologize to anyone who does not believe in abortion, I'm not promoting it but it was simply the right choice for me and my partner.

I would go and get a blood/ultrasound done just to be sure... or at least see your GP who might be able to do the bloods on the day, I was able to get y results the next day.

I guess my experience proves that even if you are being careful you can never really be %100 sure. Good luck xxx.

I'm going to encourage you to take a break/refrain from sexual activity. Probably going to get down voted to hell but....

If you are taking Plan B after having protected sex, you aren't emotionally in a place where you should be having sex. Plan B is very stressful on your body and should only be taken when there is reasonable concern that you may be pregnant.

If you felt the need to take it after having protected sex....you're already stressed out by the idea of having sex. There's no reason to think you're pregnant. You aren't...the multiple tests confirmed that. The stress/Plan B has just fucked up your cycle.

Long story short, me and my partner were being irresponsible. I took a plan B pill around 25 hours after having unprotected sex. I have not noticed any side effects from the pill. A week before (3 weeks after having unprotected sex), I decided to take a pregnancy test. It turned out to be negative. However, I dropped the cup I urinated at in the toilet so I had to carefully pick it up. I am afraid that this incident might have affected the pregnancy test, considering it wasn't only pee in the cup. My period is 3 days late and I am starting to get stressed. I know I should go get a new test. But I was wondering if others have had a similar experience.

Edit: I had unprotected sex 3 days after my last day of period.
