At the August 25, 2020, Real Estate Commission meeting, the Commission voted to impose a continuing education requirement for the period ending May 31, 2022. The provision mandates that at least 3.5 hours of the required 14 hours of continuing education must address the topics of the Fair Housing Act, redlining, steering, implicit bias, and diversity.

Despite that, MBition’s basic renewal package is one of the most affordable options at around $90. Keep in mind that it does not come with benefits other than the state-mandated continuing education courses. 

You can purchase supplemental learning materials from their online bookstore, though. You can choose from physical textbooks or downloadable ebooks that cost from around $25 to $250.

On the other hand, if you prefer reading, their click-through text-based program is for you. In my opinion, this is the easier and faster option and it only costs around $30 to $40 each. However, you may get bored from the lack of interactive elements. 

The only complaint with Kaplan is its prices are pretty steep compared to other schools. It would also be nice if Kaplan offered real estate license renewal education packages.

Polley Associates

Polley Associates School of Real Estate is a Philadelphia-based school that also offers continuing education courses in Pennsylvania. It has been around since the 1970s and has served thousands of real estate professionals. 

Polley Associates offers three delivery formats for its CE courses. You can either sign up for a traditional in-person class or join a live stream. If you want the most convenient option, you can opt for the self-paced online course. 

The self-paced course does not have an expiry date, but you need to finish it before the renewal deadline. It may be a little bland, but it is easy to go through. There are occasional quizzes, but no final test - no added pressure on completing the course.
