Summary

Kirkland Signature citrus flavored sparkling water is nearly identical to La Croix sparkling water.  The Kirkland brand product is significantly less expensive than La Croix.

The water is crisp, refreshing and a delightful change from overly sweet sodas.

I wish there was more Grapefruit than Lime.

The Kirkland Sparkling Water at Costco is a great alternative to La Croix sparkling water.  The Kirkland product comes in a 35 pack with three different citrus flavors (Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit) and is a great no calorie drink when you want something cold and refreshing.

You can keep these in your refrigerator to drink cold from the can or pour them into a glass over ice.

I have been using these to replace sugary tonic water in mixed drinks.  My favorite drink to make with these is a Gin and Grapefruit Seltzer.

How Does the Sparkling Water Taste?

The flavor profiles match up extremely well with the labelling.  Lime tastes like lime, etc.

The carbonated citrus flavors are simple and clean.  The first time I tried these drinks I was a little unsettled because my mouth has been trained to expect drinks that come out of brightly colored cans to taste sweet.  There is absolutely nothing sweet about these beverages as there is no juice or artificial sweeteners in the cans.

The water is just as good as the Waterloo sparkling water that Costco also sells.

In blind taste tests people have a hard time telling the difference between La Croix and Kirkland Signature.

Costco Value

Costco has priced their sparkling water to be at a steep discount compared to La Croix and San Pellegrino.

I buy the 35 pack of Kirkland water for $9.99 which coms out to a cost of $0.285 per can.   If you buy La Croix at a retail outlet it costs almost twice as much as Kirkland on a per can basis.

If you are buying La Croix at Costco then it typically costs about 30% more than Kirkland Signature.
