Frisky football fans have been warned that one-night stands could lead to seven years behind bars at this year’s World Cup.

Boozy bunk-ups are officially banned at the tournament, which starts in November, with FIFA officials warning there will be “no exceptions” made.

There is a growing unease from UK law enforcement about the possibility of British fans facing severe penalties for “doing everyday things ­accepted at and after games”.

Maxwell, 60, was found guilty on five of six counts last year, including sex trafficking of a minor, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and three counts of conspiracy. The youngest victim was just 14.

The convictions came after a trial which heard harrowing testimony from four women who said they were abused during their teens.

Maxwell’s defence team last week told the judge she should have a much shorter sentence.

Their filing stated:”’Ms Maxwell has always worked hard. But the prosecution team has now countered those arguments. Their filing states that Maxwell played an “instrumental role in the horrific sexual abuse of multiple young teenage girls” – and they called her actions “monstrous”.

The filing added: “As part of a disturbing agreement with Jeffrey Epstein, Maxwell identified, groomed and abused multiple victims, while she enjoyed a life of extraordinary luxury and privilege.

“In her wake, Maxwell left her victims permanently scarred with emotional and psychological injuries.

“That damage can never be undone, but it can be accounted for in crafting a just sentence for Maxwell´s crimes.”
