This is a great website for instantly creating videos and webcasts for free! A "Pro" account is also very inexpensive. You will be able to create PowerPoints and Prezis and then record an audio narration. You can also demonstrate ideas and concepts by recording your screen as you talk through step-by-step tutorials, share your files, and view websites. You can then save to YouTube and embed your videos into your classroom website, Edmodo, Google Sites, etc. I recommend that you use a headset to make sure your audio is clean. You also have options for recording through your webcam.

Save your Video File to your own Computer for LiveText Video Annotation

• Narrate your video and use your webcam to show your personality, presence, and enthusiasm for your topic.

• Select "Save as Video File"

• To upload to LiveText, you will need to save the file to your own computer and then upload that file to LiveText.

• The upload will take a long time, so be prepared to go get a cup of coffee!

• Once it is uploaded to LiveText, you can annotate the video.

• If you are NOT trying to annotate the video in LiveText, you may wish to use other save options provided by Screencast-o-matic. Saving to Google Drive can be very handy for sharing with others, however, you will not be able to use a shared link in LiveText. You MUST upload to LiveText in order to annotate the video.

Then pause again, set up a different screen and then start again. You can save your video to your hard drive or you can send it directly to YouTube. Recording a Prezi with Screencast-to-matic

• Some recording projects require that you use a webcam so you can demonstrate your teaching style, facial expressions, enthusiasm, etc. In that case, you can select webcam for a larger video screen or both for background and smaller video screen.

• You can use the larger webcam or smaller webcam window.

Record Microphone Narration and/or Computer Audio for Background Music

• You can locate the microphone you want to use. The arrow will give you a dropdown list of all microphone possibilities for your computer setup.

• You can also choose to include "Computer Audio" as well as your narration audio file. This is particularly good for incorporating a background soundtrack.

• If you are including a video within your presentation, you can also include the audio soundtrack of your video by clicking on "yes" for computer audio.

• Most Screencast-o-matic videos will not need to be compressed for LiveText.
