How to turn off lane departure warning subaru forester 2022

Hi All.
Does anyone know how to turn off all the annoying beeps and tones. I have turned off the Vehicle acquisition tones while in Active cruse control. Visual indicators are fine but I want to turn off the beeps from the Lane management system. Does anyone have any Ideas?

It’s there buried in the menu system. Just need to dig a bit more.

Careful there - I have personally experienced (just once, but it did really happen) a smashed insect in exactly the worst place on the windshield in front of one camera. It rendered the EyeSight system "blind" without the system realizing that and without it disengaging itself. My ONLY symptoms of the problem were lack of vehicle acquisition tone/symbol, and lack of any slowing down when I approached a car driving ahead of me. The display symbol alone, noiseless, is a very difficult thing to notice when driving at highway speed.

Wow so something like a bug hitting the windshield at that exact spot with your eyesight cameras are will render the Eyesight system unusable? I’m so glad I don’t have it on my limited.

To me that's way overreacting - I am talking about one and only one event in 5 years and 72,000 miles, which happened on a very empty road in rural Nevada so it took maybe 5-10 minutes before I saw any other traffic and noticed the effect. In more-normal heavier traffic I would have noticed much more rapidly. And now that I know about it, I can heighten my attention to it when I notice that there are a lot of bugs. And I can be careful and prompt about windshield cleaning. The system effect of fog/frost/condensation causing an identified system shut-down has occurred during my ownership about twenty times, much more frequently. And the system has appropriately given me little beeps about borderline lane discipline, following a bit too closely, and done correct adaptive cruise control management thousands of times during my ownership. It is a system to be understood, not to be avoided.

There are more than a few than, for whatever reason, don’t seem to grasp that concept. An example…Some folks expect lane centering to keep their vehicle in their lane all by itself for long distances, in essence do the driving. That isn’t what it’s designed to do.

I can’t wait to see what happens when a driver using that “feature” crashes and tries to sue GM, and find out GM says they weren’t on a “compatible road”.

All of these insinuated autonomous driving assistants work great… until they suddenly don’t.

My wife was amazed at the number of times hers beeps while she drives ('21 Crosstrek), and after riding with her I can see why. In contrast, I stay within the lines and use my signals when I do change lanes, and as a result I rarely hear any beeps. So that was my suggested solution to her (it went as well as you would expect)

On my '21 Forester I simply shut off the whole Lane Departure Warning system using the switch on the roof console next to the moon roof switch. That disabled the whole LD system from working, including the annoying beeps.

Everyone has their own preferences for all these driver assist safety features, but in my case I found myself taking my eyes off the road way too often to look at the dash to see why some unexpected warning beep came on. To each their own, but for me it was a classic example of the safety feature becoming a safety hazard.
