How to tell if someone has blocked you on Facebook

Make sure to check these seven points when you're trying to figure out if someone has blocked you on Facebook.

1. They're not in your Friends List

First, log in to Facebook and go to your Friends List by clicking on Friends on the left side of the page. Then click on All Friends.

Next, type in the name of the friend in the search box. If they don't show, it could be a sign that they have blocked you.

Start composing a Facebook post and attempt to tag the person. If they cannot be tagged, it means that they either blocked or unfriended you.

3. You can't invite that person to events or groups

Create a Facebook event and attempt to invite your friend. If no results show and their name is spelled correctly, they have either blocked or unfriended you.

4. You can no longer see their posts in your Facebook feed

Look through your Facebook feed. If you don't see posts of theirs, they might have blocked or unfriended you.

This option for researching is only available if you know they are active on Facebook, and it can be inconclusive because Facebook's algorithms could be deciding not to show their posts for other reasons.

They may still be friends with you but could have privacy settings set to exclude you from viewing their posts.

5. You can't find the person in search

Normally, Facebook users can be searched. Try searching the person's name on Facebook by typing their name into the search bar at the top of the page.

If you know that their profile has not been deleted and the friend no longer appears or you receive the message stating that the content is not available, they have likely blocked or unfriended you.

6. You can't send messages to the person in Facebook Messenger

Try sending the friend a message using Facebook Messenger. If you see an error message, they have likely blocked you, unfriended you, or their profile has been deleted.

1. Find Link From Messenger & View Profile

If you are on your Facebook message section then you can get the profile link from Messenger on your desktop or you can see the same profile directly from your Messenger also by tapping on the profile icon and this will open up the profile of that person.

But, remember that the person who has blocked you would not show up on your profile rather you have to try this from your friend’s mobile.

You will see the profile of that person and this method would help you find out the profile link directly from the Facebook app or desktop version whatever you are using.

The same method will show up the profile picture around with the active profile link and you will be able to view all of the pictures of the person if this profile is not locked.

3. Through FB Search [Logged in & Not]

The best method to find out any people who blocked you on Facebook and view his profile to see all of the pictures and stuff he shared on his timeline.

You just have to search his name on Facebook, Facebook will display all of the results of such people who just with the same name and you have to find out the exact person from the search results to view the profile, this is the same method to view the profile picture and uploaded posts.

You have to search the person on your Facebook while you are logged in and if you are not blocked, you will view the profile of that person, or when you are logged out of your profile just copy the profile URL and open that FB profile URL to see the profile and its stuff.

P.S. The same method you can also follow for yourself and if possible send a request to unblock yourself and add as a friend. Most probably the person will add you again if you apologize to him by explaining yourself.

4. From Google Search

If someone has blocked you on Facebook, you can still use some tricks to see his profile. You need to find his profile link on Google to see the cached version of his profile on the Chrome browser.

You can also search for his profile on Google by using the incognito mode of the browser. You need to search using his profile name to get the link to his Facebook profile in the search results.

5. Using Tools

You can use third-party tools to see your Facebook profile and display pictures of users who have blocked your Facebook account. As these tools are third-party online tools, they work to find the display picture and profile of any Facebook user to show you according to your search.

You can use the Profile Picture Viewer Extension on your chrome browser to see the display picture of any Facebook user. Another application is SocialDP which is available for Androids on Google Play Store.

On this application, you can just paste the profile link of the Facebook user and then click on the View DP button. It will show you the display picture of the app. You can also use the HD Profile Picture Viewer to see the pictures of users who have blocked you by pasting its profile link.

Another way to find out if the user has blocked you or not is by searching for him on Facebook. When someone blocks you, you will not be able to find his account on Facebook until you’re unblocked by the user.

If you search for the user on Facebook, you’ll not find the user’s profile in the search results, seeing which you can find out whether he has blocked you or not.
