This was a very fun stop. Everything about Big Texan is fun and quirky. The room was nice and unique like everything Big Texan (not fancy). No amenities in the winter. It was close to I-40 so being an older place the traffic could be heard. That being said we enjoyed our 1 night stay here.

The novelty of the property was great at face value. But after closer inspection the property needs regular maintenance and upkeep on a regular basis! Our room was very outdated, hard beds, large spider in bathtub upon arrival, shower/tub control were loose and almost falling out of their fixture. Almost best to stay at near newer hotels and just drive over to enjoy the restaurant which has good food and great service!

It was great to be able to walk right to restaurant. We had a great meal and service was great. The room was a bit dated but had a nice western feel and beds were comfortable . Great stop for our RT66 trip.

It smelled strong like smoke. We called the front desk but they said there are no more rooms and they didn’t offer us anything, just said they will tell manager.
