Overall great hotel

We have visited Orlando and stayed at this hotel a few times. We really love the location the shuttle to universal is great too. The rooms are a good size and easily fit us 2 adults and 3 kids. All the staff are always happy to help and friendly. The pool is good with plenty of loungers/ chairs and the bbq areas are great too. I think for the price and location and free breakfast I have to give a 5 if the price was more it would be down to a 4 and this is due to cleaning which I feel has gone down hill since covid. Our room also smelt really badly of damp (307) but as we were only staying 3 nights couldn’t be bothered with moving etc. the breakfast is nice a lot of choice and kids love making waffles. Overall it is a good hotel to visit universal and very budget friendly given the extras you get.

We had a one night stay before we were heading to Portofino Bay to save money since we got in late to Orlando. Great budget choice with a nice breakfast and pool. We would stay again. Kids loved the breakfast choices.

Lovely hotel near Universal. Shuttle service to UNIVERSAL (see schedule). One hour away from Port Canaveral. Hotel lobby is clean and neat. Great staff, comfortable rooms for family of 5. Full size fridge, microwave, stove. Good breakfast. We would stay here again.

Room need to be updated: This is a hotel by Hilton, not meeting Hilton's standards. the room have old carpet with opening on the edges showing dirt. The beds are uncomfortable, bathroom corners old and broken.

The Pandemic stop short our family vacation plans since 2019. We were looking VERY forward to returning to Orlando as are many people too !! First time back since then and didnt know what to expect. IT DELIVERED EVERYTHING WE EXPECTED !!! First we arrived earlier on the day than expected, check in was a BREEZE and they accommodated us with no issues.. Grounds are immaculate and so is the property very well kept and maintained. Rooms were well appointed , spacious and VERY clean.. Hats off to the Cleaning Team, approachable and friendly at all times .. there was one lady who always told my kids -- HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY !! , and they did :) Breakfast is quite good and has a full variety of everything, it was consistent always ..... Scrambled Eggs, Sausages, Bacon, Waffles, Cereals and Breads, Coffee , tea, Hot Chocolate, Bananas etc, this is a VERY good Breakfast that's included in your hotel stay.. The evening social is now on Wed Only, I suspect as the pandemic ends, Hilton may bring it back more regularly , but we enjoyed the Wed Social, light food -- Cheese / Wine / Beer... was good to relax mid week a little :) Brooke at the front desk is a HUGE asset to Homewood, VERY VERY VERY Pleasant and accommodating to my travelling family. I would remiss if I didnt say all the staff was good, because they ALL WERE excellent !!!! TRANSPORTATION : The Hotel has Universal Shuttles which you can book (ask the desk for details) We didnt use them as in our Travel we like to use generally one TAXI as that becomes a fond travel memory as well. Three years is a long time and the TAXI we used before was out of Business THANK GOODNESS for HOMEWOOD -- AGAIN TO THE RESCUE !! I have to recommend Geff, (SUV) ask the Front Desk for details. In all our years of Travelling , I have to say Geff was the BEST Taxi Service we EVER HAD --- YES EVER !! - Reliable, ontime, fair rates, and the SUV Was spotless !! He was really a BIG part of our vacation memory and I cannot recommend him enough !!! Ok so around the area there is a Red Lobster, Dennys , Walgreens, a very nice Ice Cream Shop, and a lot more ALL in walking distance. There was a Cajun Seafood place we never got to Try........ Opposite Homewood is Hilton Garden inn and they have a Restaurant (Tiki Bar I think the name is) Colin heads that and is a pleasure to be around, funny and sociable, we bought Dinner a few nights there. The Suites at Homewood are clean and bright, well sanitized and you have to schedule your housekeeping (We chose the days we were at the parks) to make it easier. As for the Parks, a few tips, Keep Hydrated, Use the weather app to approximate when rain is coming, and Get shade often from the sun, the summer heat is tough !!!! All in All, this Homewood delivers again, we were worried after not being here for so long.. But the management and all their staff have delivered marvelously and continue to delight its guests, making an Orlando Vacation happy and fondly memorable. Well done Homewood, Keep up the GREAT work !! 5 stars out of 5 - EASILY !
