 5.0 out of 5 stars Lifesaver, literally! Highly recommend!! I bought this for my 4 year old son. We got into a horrible car accident about 2.5 months ago. I hit a pole, the car was totaled (it was a brand new 2019 Toyota Camry, only 4 months old so that tells you how bad the accident was) and my son had “minor whiplash” and was released from the hospital the same day. I, on the other hand, broke my nose, my left ankle, my right knee and was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and in a wheel chair for a month after. It’s amazing that his injuries were so minimal and I really have to give credit to this seat for that. I bought him another one last week because my car caught on fire in the accident and of course, the seat did as well. Please try again later.Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2022 My son was in a convertible car seat (one that goes from infant to toddler) and while it was a fantastic seat, it was so bulky and heavy and hard to install. My son also gets car sick... so it was time to replace it. He's still a little too young to understand how to sit properly in a booster with a seatbelt, so this was a perfect transition for us! He has lots more room, it's WAY easier to install, so much smaller and lighter, and it's still very safe and I love the harness feature. I also love that when he's ready, I can switch him to a seatbelt high-back booster, then eventually the regular just-seat booster. Oh - and he loves the cupholders! Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2022 I did a lot of research when deciding what to do for our kid that outgrew his front facing car seat. Lots of people switch to some version of a booster but what’s recommend is keeping the kid in a five-point harness as long as realistic. This is the best option because it’s thinner than most car seats so it can fit next to a regular car seat, even in thinner vehicles. It also still has the five point harness but can eventually just act as a booster when outgrown. Great quality and great product. Worth the cost. I was able to install it pretty easily in my toyota camry with the latch system. It seemed the same as installing any other carseat I've had. I get my seats snug by putting my knee in the car seat for weight and then pulling the strap as tight as possible. Seat moves less than half an inch. Not sure yet how it works for the booster option since I still have to use the forward facing pathway for my children but so far it seems like a great carseat. Ahora instalar el asiento es relativamente sencillo si se sabe que se está haciendo, trae sistema LATCH (ISOFIX) que debe de estar disponible en todos los autos vendidos en norte América desde 2003, usandolo queda en 2 minutos o menos, ahora usar el cinturón del auto es un poco más engorroso y depende mucho del auto, al menos 1 de mis autos es todo un dolor de cabeza usarlo, pero eso es culpa del fabricante del automóvil no del autoasiento en si, es importante mencionar que el autoasiento está diseñado para que se use con LATCH Y CINTURON o solo uno a la vez, las instrucciones son claras y que método instalar depende más del peso del niño(a), pues por ejemplo solo se puede usar LATCH hasta 18kg(40lb) después es OBLIGATORIO el uso del cinturón del auto, ademas como el asiento es para muchas etapas se puede ajustar de muchos modos, POR FAVOR LEAN Y ENTIENDAN BIEN LAS INSTRUCCIONES POR SEGURIDAD DE SUS HIJOS. La marca es garantía de seguridad. Su arnés ajusta perfectamente al cuerpo del niño y os sistemas de sujeción son estandarizados. Se ve menos segura que la NextFit Zip pero mucho más ligera y cómoda para bb quien parece preferirla tal vez por ser menos voluminosa que la otra. Quizás por eso la calificación de 3 estrellas que le doy. No me gusta que mi niño puede sacar los brazitos con facilidad entonces muchas veces va amarrado de abajo pero con los brazos salidos. Tampoco me gusta que se le ve incómoda para dormir. Sé que no es lo ideal, pero hay veces que los caminos son lejos y pues no puede evitar cabezear y va con la cabeza toda suelta ladeándose de un lado a otro. Entiendo que es un car seat de los más baratos y que no debo esperar mucho pero quizás sí me hubiera gustado invertirle un poquito más por uno un poco más seguro y cómodo. |
