Be a Captain or a Mermaid aboard the NPYC float in Old Town Alexandria's annual St Patrick's Day Parade! Staging begins at 11:00 AM by 12 PM we will have the 'float' ready to roll. Please come and help decorate, and enjoy some club provided food and beverage. Wear green, or go nautical, or be a mermaid. Wear a Captain's hat if you have one, and we'll have some available as well.

Like past years, our plan is to pull Jack Stoddard's decorated 37 foot Scarab in the parade adorned with flags, our banners and members giving out beads. We'll have a 'water skier' or two behind the boat being towed along (on skateboard or roller blades), always fun to see.

Club members and their guests have priority on the boat as space is limited, and your RSVPs here and at the next meeting are requested.

NPYC will be in Division [TBD] and will be staged on Cameron St between Patrick and Alfred Streets [TBD].

Decorating the boat will begin at 11 AM at our staging area, the parade starts at 12:30 PM and we roll sometime after in sequence.

The club will provide members with some lunch and beverages. Technically we're not supposed to throw beads or anything from the float. Bring your favorite travel mug or use a club Solo cup. No open/visible containers of alcohol please.

Get your green on and we will see you Saturday!!

Street and garage parking is always a challenge due to the popularity of this, Uber is a good idea, or plan to walk a few blocks.
