Region 10 Educators receive year-round discounted pricing for CE Credits Online courses by registering for these courses with Region 10.

HOW TO REGISTER

  1. Select the continuing professional education course or courses in which you are interested in enrolling from the list of courses below.
  2. Register and pay for the course through Region 10. You may register at: Region 10 Education Service Center.
  3. After Region 10 processes your registration and your payment, they will email you an Enrollment Code and instructions to return here to enroll using your Enrollment Code or Codes if you selected more than one course.

TO ENROLL:

  1. Select your course and click the “Add to Cart” button.
  2. All courses require you to enter your Enrollment Code and click "Validate". Follow the online instructions to complete your enrollment.
  3. You may begin immediately. Please note you have up to 180 days to complete your course from the date of enrollment.
  4. Upon completion of your course, you may request graduate credits (for an additional per-credit fee). All CE Credits Online courses are approved to receive graduate-level university credits. How do teachers get CPE hours in Texas?

Thousands of Texas teachers utilize Model Teaching courses every year to earn CPE hours for license renewal. All Model Teaching regular Professional Development (PD, Clock Hour) courses are pre-approved by TEA to earn CPE credits for license renewal, including your Texas waiver.

How many hours of PD do teachers need in Texas?

Classroom teachers must complete 150 CPE hours. No more than 150 CPE hours are required, even if the educator holds multiple classroom certificates. Administrative and/or Student Services Certificate.

What are some examples of professional development for teachers?

Are CEU and CPE the same?

The difference between CPE and CEU is basically the amount of contact time each represents. CPE (Continuing Professional Education) points are defined as 50 contact minutes of instruction provided by a qualified individual while CEU (Continuing Education Unit) points are defined as 10 contact hours.
