The size of iPhone 12 Pro Max will continue to iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition to supporting high refresh rate, the 120Hz LTPO OLED screen can also dynamically adjust the refresh rate in real time according to the screen display content, so that iPhone 13 achieve smoothness while saving power.

However, there are some changes in details compared to the iPhone 12. Slightly upgraded on the basis of iPhone 12. The display cutout, or "notch", is 20% smaller, and the speaker is moved to the edge of the front panel. Through the new design, iPhone 13 reserve more display space on the top edge of the phone. This may not be good news for screen protector factories, because it increases the difficulty of glass processing and requires higher cutting precision.

Speaker position change increases the difficult to open holes on the tempered glass.

I have some leftover tempered glass that I got last year for my iPhone 11. They usually sell 3-4 pack from Amazon and I still have 2 left.

Is thr screen not slightly bigger? I have protectors that only cover the lit parts, not the entire glass.

Display size remains the same at 6.1. They did shrink the bezel by a little bit so most tempered glasses that are "case friendly" should work perfectly fine.

I ordered iPhone XR screen protectors for my iPhone 12 Pro.

I'll know in ~2 weeks if they work!

I gotta ask... why? Especially if you ordered on Amazon. You’d be spending a couple of dollars more at most to get the ones made for the 12, and wouldn’t have the uncertainty of knowing if they work or not

Getting mine this Friday. I'm very positive that they will work. If anything there might be a very slight misalignment, but historically speaking lot of early screen protectors/glasses when new devices come out doesn't fit 100% accurately either. I've had and seen plenty of tempered glasses that doesn't properly cut around the notch area even to this date.

I don’t believe it will work. The screen size is just a diagonal measurement from one lower corner to the opposite top corner. Screens can share that same measurement but have different height and widths. Too early to tell though.

They have the same aspect ratio. It’ll work.

Additionally speaking, they won’t be different height/width wise. If what you’re speaking is true then all apps optimized for iPhone XR/11 will have to re work again just because of that small change which is not going to be the case. It will have exactly the same screen aspect ratio (XR, 11, 12, 12 pro).

The iPhone 11 models have curved edges, whereas the the iPhone 12 models have flat screens like the 5s.

So the screen protectors you have might fit but they could be smaller than screen protectors made for the iPhone 12/12 Pro. Best thing to do is wait and see.

The screen is going to be a little larger on the new phone then the screen protector.

I suspect you could make the old screen protectors work if you are ok with the edges of the screen being exposed.

This is true, as the Zagg glass screen protector has been compatible for the past 3 iPhones so I’ve just submitted warranty claims each year and gotten a new protector for my new phone just paying ~$6 for shipping lol

Not true at all, iPhone 12 is smaller compared to the 11, even if the screen size is the same

False. Even today’s tempered glass for the XR/11 doesn’t quite cover the entire front glass because of the rounded edge. Like you said, 12/12 pro will be “smaller” or just slimmer bezel so the fitment will actually be perfect.
