Best site to sell gift cards reddit

If you have a gift card, and you want to sell it in exchange for some crypto, then there are a couple of sites that will help you do that. You give them the gift card's info, and they'll pay you in cryptocurrency. Note that these sites won't give you 100% of your gift card's value, as they need to profit, and some gift cards have a better value rate than others.

The following sites i'll list are the ones that i found and are not region locked. There may be more sites, but they are region locked to certain countries only.

  • EJGiftCards : on this site you can both sell and buy gift cards. Note that this site hasn't yet updated its descriptions and FAQ to mention that they support bitcoin payout, but they do. To sell one, you need to register, then click on the top "sell gift cards" button. You search for the brand and see if it is available, if it is you then put the amount in the gift card, and you then get an offer. If you accept the offer, you fill in the gift card's details and then put in your BTC address or PayPal. It may take them a couple days to process it, then it will be put in the "payment-initiated" status until you get your payment. Their payouts are usually the upcoming Friday or the one after that. My payment was late until Monday though for some reason, but i did get it in full.

  • SellGift : on this site you can sell and buy gift cards too. You register, then click the top "sell gift cards" button. You choose one of the available brands and the price amount of the gift card to get an offer. You then fill in the gift card's details and it'l process for up to a couple days until it is validated. Then when you get the money in your balance, you will be able to withdraw it from your profile. Supported withdrawal cryptos are USDT, BTC, and ETH.

  • CoinCola : This is a trading site, and there is the option to buy crypto using your gift cards as a payment method. The offers are made available from various traders. and the transaction happens manually through a chat on-site where you give them your gift card info, and then they release the BTC into your account's wallet. From there you will be able to withdraw it and it supports various cryptos. Note that for some reason, they do not support BTC addresses that start with "bc1", so you need to get your legacy address starting with "1". I tried this site once and it worked, but i still don't have the minimum withdrawal amount. Make sure the trader you pick has a high amount of completed trades and also a high rating as to avoid potential scammers.

These are the sites I know of that let you sell your gift cards in exchange for crypto. Hope you found this helpful. And thanks for reading!

Links for the sites mentioned are in my pub0x post here, as my posts with links on Reddit keeps getting deleted.

I'd had good luck on eBay, but mostly with the higher dollar amount ones ($50). Post it up for $46-47, free shipping, get my money, then send it out to them in a padded envelope for $2-3.

You get about 85-90% of it's purchasing power back, which is better than many of those gift card sites.

This post has been flaired as looking for sites. To help people recommend suitable sites and offers, please answer the following if you haven't already:

  • What offers have you already done?

  • Do you have any funds available for deposits, transfers, exchanges and the like? If so, roughly how much?

  • Are there any offers you won't or don't want to do? Some people don't like crypto offers for example.

Best site to sell gift cards reddit

Is there a website or app that people can sell their unwanted gift cards? But at a discount for the buyer I'd imagine. I have a Walmart gift card with over $500 from a Christmas return. Would rather have cash, even at a loss. Theres an app for everything nowadays, looking for insight on what works and what doesnt.
Also, why cant people purchase prepaid visa debit cards with gift cards just like you would with cash? (I grasp that Walmart wants the money put back into their system, but man it's aggravating) Thank you in advance for your time!

You have multiple options if you want to turn your giftcards into cash/PayPal, and they all have better points-to-cash ratios than redeeming straight to PayPal from Perk. I have outlined a couple below.

Want your PayPal nearly instantly?#

Your best option is going to be to sell your gift cards to fellow redditors via r/GiftCardExchange. This subreddit puts together people that want to sell giftcards with people who want to buy them. Simply post (using the correct formatting) what you have and what you want, and someone will comment on your post if interested. You can easily sell Amazon at 80% of it's value, and will generally have PayPal within 30 minutes of doing so. However, you must read and abide by the rules of the giftcardexchange (GCX) if you don't want to get scammed. If you follow the rules, everything should go okay. For your first few trades, you may want to sell to Confirmed, Experienced, or Top traders only in order to trade more safely.

Want to sell your cards to a website?#

There are many websites that allow you to sell your giftcards, either by submitting the codes online, or mailing in a plastic card. I have outlined 2 ways I have sold giftcards online below.

A while ago I sent a $100 Walmart gift card to each place to find out which one I preferred. Below is my experience and opinions of the two websites.

TLDR: I will probably choose CardCash in the future.

Ease of starting process: Winner = CardCash.com

This was pretty close. The reason CardCash wins is because it has a big 'Sell' button right on the main website. Giftcards.com, on the other hand, has a very tiny 'Sell Gift Cards' link at the very bottom of their page. However, once you are at the 'Sell...' page, things look identical. You select the merchant of the card you are selling, how many, and how much it's worth. Then both websites will show you what they will pay for it using various methods (Check/PayPal/Amazon trade).

How much I was paid for my $100 gift card: Winner = GiftCards.com (this time)

So when I sent in my gift card, Giftcards.com was offering $92.50 in the form of a check or PayPal. The most that CardCash.com was offering was $90 PayPal. However, the GiftCards.com option has fees of 2.9%+$0.30 per transaction, so if I had went with the PayPal option for GiftCards.com, I would have would up with $89.52, less than CardCash.com. However, I chose to be sent a check for $92.50 so I could get the full amount.

As of this writing, GiftCards.com is only offering $90 via check or PayPal for a $100 Walmart giftcard, so obviously their rates will change from time to time, and may not make it worth it to sell to them.

Speed of Payment: Winner = CardCash.com (but could have been a tie)

I sent in my $100 GCs via mail Saturday night, September 13th. By September 19th, CardCash.com had placed $90 in my PayPal account. Also on September 19, GiftCards.com had told me that I was paid, and I should expect my check in 5-7 business days. 1 week later (September 26) I received my check in the mail.

Total time for CardCash: 6 days via PayPal

Total time for GiftCards: 13 days via check

Obviously CardCash was able to send payment faster, as it was PayPal. Had I opted for PayPal from both, it would have been a tie.

Overall, I think I will choose CardCash again if I am going to send in a physical card.

I liked their speed of payment, as well as the fact that there were no PayPal fees to speak of. In fact, it says that they take care of them in case you are charged any PayPal fees. Although I earned $2.50 more from Giftcards.com, I had to wait an extra week to get it. And the fact that GiftCards.com charges a PayPal fee if I choose that option makes me not want to use them.

Keep in mind that these prices were for sending in a physical gift card, not just entering in the codes online. For that option, they pay less, and may require a credit card on file just to make sure you don't scam them.

As always, YMMV.

EDIT: I have since sold Target codes to Giftcards.com

This was very easy. However, you need to know that the 'Pin' that you have to type in is actually the Access code on your Target gift card. I was able to sell Target for 92.5%, and have PayPal deposited into my account within 48 hours. However, after PayPal fees were removed, it was down to ~90% of the value of the $50 card I sent in.
