For a while, the treats were being sold in pop-up locations around town, including a seasonal stint on Union Avenue the summer that The Spouse and I first tried it. More recently, we dropped by for dinner at their East Knox County base of operations, where we dined at their Pizza Barn, then walked next door for dessert at the Ice Cream House. It is INCREDIBLE how much flavor is in their ice cream especially given the fact that it is soft serve. The first flavor I tried was sugar cookie dough so I was expecting hard ice cream with chunks in it. I was a bit surprised and curious how it was going to taste when I was handed a soft serve cone. After the first lick, I was made an immediate fan. Cruze’s creations are delicious and unique. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and bright. It is now a must-go for us whenever we visit Knoxville. Worth the wait! The ice cream is scrumptious! Andrea took my order- what a sweet young lady. The space is bright and fun. The staff are all dressed up in vintage like attire to make and serve the treats. This is a must! Local ice cream place with various flavors from local dairy farms. Ice cream is not the scoop out the container type but the soft serve type from the pull down lever machine. As far as soft serve it was good(creamy), nothing extraordinary, What is unique the different flavors of soft serve ice cream ice cream: coffee, chocolate twist, etc. You can put various toppings in the ice cream: chocolate chip, cookie dough, whipped cream, sprinkles, etc. The lines may seem long but it moves quickly. I really like the bright decor, The photos of the local dairy farm. Employees wearing the same bright red uniforms created an experience of an ice cream parlor of the past with a modern experience/twist. This ice cream is the best I've ever eaten! We've made going to Bruster's a part of our biweekly routine when I go to Knoxville to hang out with my son. My favorite flavor is "Jamaican Me Crazy!" 💯 We ALWAYS love Bruster's ice cream! Never have we ever been disappointed. In fact, the exceeded our expectations this evening. We always get puppy sundaes for our two doggos. It's usually just ice cream and a milkbone. This time, it also had whipped cream and "puppy peanut butter" syrup. My fur babies sure scarfed them down! (We brought them home, so the whipped cream had deflated a bit. The presentation was awesome when it was handed to us!) I used to work at the Brusters in Jacksonville fl and I order a pb cup sundae with a special flavor but got only vanilla. I mentioned working in Florida at Brusters and the employee mentioned to her coworker she didn’t care and chose to give me what I didn’t order. None of the employee were in uniform and just dissatisfied that i spent like $7 on an ice cream I didn’t even ask for. The place really looks the part, from its long counter with accompanying stools to the white-clad soda jerks whipping up their sweet concoctions. The menu offers everything from old-fashioned sodas and floats to specialty sundaes. A blast from the past, when store workers could be rude to their patrons. Bad customer service there is a ride person who works there. People at Kilwins ... Delicious sundaes. Yummy whipped cream and ice cream. It’s very rich so it’s best to share it. Even with two of us trying to eat each sundae we were not able to eat the whole thing. The milkshakes were incredible! Staff was great! The design a vibe of the shop was really cool! PS you can't go wrong with their desserts either! So I was super excited to try Culver’s today, they were so busy, I knew it was going to be great but that was not the case. My burger was raw inside, have you ever tried to peel apart a mushroom Swiss burger to refry it, not so easy. Was trying to save but but ended up having to cook anyway! Watch your burgers better guys! I frequently eat here, but tonight was bad. I ordered my usual culver deluxe. And to be honest my sandwich had a pancake burger. Got an Ice Cream Sundae, which was perfect. Would totally order again. Husband got onion rings and a chocolate shake. He said the onion rings tasted homemade and that alone made the trip worth it! The Freezo has been a Knoxville staple for many years. My family ate there frequently back in the 60s and 70s and always enjoyed it. It had been a while since I had been (like 35-years) so I, along with my mother, decided to stop in today for lunch. It's still the quaint little walk-up/drive-thru cash only joint with lots of nostalgia. There was only one lady working today at lunch time trying to wait on around 12 customers. I'm glad we were not in a hurry because it took a while to get our food. The prices aren't too awful bad. I got a footlong hotdog, large onion rings, and large diet coke for $10.75. My mother got a footlong hotdog, small fries, small coke, and small chocolate malt for $11.15. The weather was nice today so we sat at the concrete tables at the back of the parking lot and ate. I wish I could say we enjoyed our meal but neither of us much cared for the food. The hotdogs were just kind of bland, tasteless, and lukewarm. There was barely any chili on them as well. My onion rings were decent, nothing to write home about. My mother felt the same about her meal and she only ate about half of it. Maybe they were just having an off day or something but I have no plans to re-visit. Been passing by here since I moved to TN 3 years ago finally decide to try it today (1/25)... My husband got a bacon cheeseburger i got their vanilla milk shake and a tamale with chili... Burger was delicious and flavorful as well as the chili great especially on a cold day.... This place has the appearance of a hole in the wall place but is actually very nice on the inside. The booths are repurposed church pews. My girl got a $3 mimosa and I got a beer that was finished in a bourbon barrel. Really nice bourbon flavor and kinda strong. I got pulled pork that was perfectly smoked. Smoked mac & cheese that was outstanding. Cheesey and smokey. Also got a very fresh coleslaw that was kinda sweet. Chelsea got a half BBQ chicken that she picked down to a skeleton. I know she enjoyed it. They shake a dry spice concoction on it I enjoyed it very much. I typically don't care for it but this was really good. She got the mac & cheese as well and potato salad. They have three sauces on the table. I used the ketchup based which was different but extremely good. Not a sauce that I'm used to but found it to be very enjoyable. For dessert the best damn banana pudding you would ever want. Kind of a small portion on the banana pudding. It was so good I wanted more. This is a cool place. Lunch counter style dining and then grab a seat. Excellent and friendly staff in a World Fair decorated area. I highly recommend a visit to Sweet P's. I'll be back for sure. Great BBQ. I just ordered a regular BBQ sandwich with two sides of macaroni & cheese, but it was great. You order up front at the counter and they put it on a tray for you and you take it over to the register to pay and then go find a seat. Very fast. My wife has celiac and she tried many different offerings here. Her favorite were the scones! It's a definite must try if you are in the Knoxville area! Side note, if you are a coffee lover, like me, Honeybee Coffee is right around the corner and carries many pastries from BYL! The pastries are hit and miss. Sometimes it's great and other times you get home and they seem like they sat out too long. The prices are a bit high for Gluten free items. I love Kilwins and live right up the street me and my family come all the time. We will NOT be back because the business is just poor and the attitude are to rude for me to be paying them prices. The wife and I had strawberry malts and I really don't need the extra sugar but every now and then a man's just got to live on the wild side those kids that work in the Exxon store where it's at they do an excellent job in fact I was pretty impressed actually with the quality of service I may have to start going to the Exxon station more definitely give it a try it's a little Baskin-Robbins counter inside the Exxon but very good ice cream of course it's hard to beat Baskin-Robbins The employees here are always nice to me + very friendly. Sometimes it reminds me of the little mom and pop stores that used to be everywhere, minus mom and pop though. If you go just remember, the employees have to handle the gas station customers as well as the Baskin-Robbins customers. The Grub Spouse and I dropped in for a dinner not long after they opened back in aught-nine, when we happily licked our way through cups of chocolate-peanut butter, Almond Joy and tiramisu. We have returned in the years since to dip our tiny gelato spoons into more flavors like cappuccino crunch, lemon basil, birthday cake and orange cream. Some of the best gelato I have had. Among them are cheesecake bites which is one of my favourites. $5 fill up on Monday If you're like me and need to try every flavor, you're going to be spending about $8-$12. Toppings are good, place is clean, easy parking. Really liked it here, had all the usual available toppings and was very clean. If you've never had frozen yogurt from here they charge by weight. They usually have around eight flavors like chocolate, caramel, coconut, peanut butter, green apple, strawberry, then a couple of specially flavors. He explains that some flavors are not available due to them not receiving a delivery. (That is understandable) Then he sees that one I tried was empty and fills it, but not before I put a different flavor in my cup. All that is fine, BUT I an giving this a one star because before I left I went to the restroom. Only after starting to use the restroom I realize there is not any toilet paper or paper towels at all! I have to call the person with me to bring me some napkins. (I could care less if am employee is outside when I arrive, but not if the basics aren't taken care of, like toilet paper in the bathroom!!!) We were in there on 12/29/21. Needless to say we won't be returning! Froyos has better flavors anyways! Dirty! One word to describe it. First off the employee was wearing dirty clothes as if he just came off of a construction site. Then the place itself is nasty. The main entrance doors have tons, i mean tons of fingerprints, spilled yogurt whatever else that has been there for weeks most likely. Then the benches and tables have black fingerprints all over them, the station where you pick up your cups, dirty with fingerprints, the toppings are not refilled and that leads me to believe that they probably don't rotate their not so fast moving toppings which means expired old stuff. The floor was probably not mopped in weeks. Some light fixtures work, others don't. Won't be back. What happened? This place used to be pristine and now it’s nasty. everything was filthy-walls, tables, benches, door, floor, and especially the toppings and machines. Out of chocolate froyo. Out of whip cream. Strawberries all had stems. Employee couldn’t answer basic question. Marshmallow topping tasted very weird. They used to have activities for kids and tv programs on now the tv is just covered in dust. ??? The store is clean and has a friendly, helpful staff. The best thing they have done is stop charging per ounce, and now they charge just for the size of bowl that you choose. You can have as many toppings as you want, and that makes me very happy! Frustrating bc of Covid we can't pour our own or try samples of anything. That was the fun for us. Food was decent, but expensive compared to the other local competitors. Service was slow, considering it wasn't busy at the time. Cashier seemed to be very uncomfortable with his lack of training/experience as well. Has always been pretty reliable. The staff are always nice. The store seems nice and clean and everyone was wearing gloves, which I appreciate. The ice cream is always good. The burgers are alright, nothing to write home about.
