4 day work week cdl jobs

  1. Before I sell my soul and body to the liquor industry, please tell me there are other jobs out there that has a 4 day work week. I’ve been searching for a few weeks now, and I always end up with liquor delivery as the only job that has this. Problem is, I’ve worked in food service before, so I know how brutal your body takes a beating from bumping cases up and down stairs and basements. Thank you.

    Bluedew and thanks Thank this.

  8. Food service companies tend to be 4 on, 3 off...but since you mentioned it's probably out of the question... National DCP/Dunkin Donuts might be another option. Still considered food service, but not quite as brutal since deliveries are palletized using a lift gate. They pay around $28-30 an hour nowadays. They have some 4 day runs.

Mohawk Flooring has 4 day regional runs where you're out 2 days at a time. I think they get paid around $23-27 an hour, depending on cost of living. Same with Shaw Flooring. They have 4, 10 hours per day, home every night runs. Also around $23-27 an hour, delivering flooring to customers.

Dean Foods has yard jockey positions where you work 4...12 hour shifts. Union gig with free healthcare. They pay around $24 an hour around my area to be a jockey, with OT after 8. Cost of living will probably dictate pay rate.

Mail Contractor's like Eagle Express Lines , MTI, B&B, Hoovestol, Matheson, etc., have relay runs, meet and greet...where you're out 2 days at a time, 4 day work week. Depending on cost of living, some of them get paid around $30-32 an hour, but all straight time though...and that also depends on if they accepted or denied the additional $5 an hour for H&W.

  9. i miss the 4 day weeks, also. no weekends, home daily. don’t miss the 14+ hour days and having a start time anywhere from 1-4 am, tho. grocery delivery is tough, but has its perks.

  10. Dart do 3.5 on, 3.5 off.
    OTR - Dart

But only in Dallas and Atlanta...

  11. Don't apply as full time, apply as part time.
Put the 4 days your available.
Turn in the applications anywhere you want.
Wait for the phone to ring.

You dictate the terms instead of them.
We all know there's no such thing as a 8
    Hour day in a truck.
You got nothing to lose going this route.
