Jan 30, 2018 Gentlemen, My T&C is having trouble starting. The code that comes up is P0339...Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit intermittent. The service advisor that I work with at the dealership says that it is a simple fix and will run about $200. If it is so simple, I figure that I can do it myself. Has anyone done this or know where it is? How
simple is it? Help is appreciated as I am out of work and would love to save a few bucks. Thanks y'all. John Joined Dec 20, 2019 · 1 Posts

Bumping this thread. Just started the wife's van, and engine sputtered out and died. Tried second time and same thing. Third time I could keep it going with some gas but it didn't run well. Took it for a very short drive and decided to return it to the garage. Code is P0339. Cleared code and it came right back. Having no luck finding info on
sensor location for the 4.0 V6. Can anyone help? Joined Dec 9, 2017 · 5,000 Posts
Cam sensor is in the timing cover. Manual shows removing the alternator to get to it. Looks like it may be possible without doing that.

After scraping the internet for an hour yesterday and coming up with nothing, I broke down and bought the
online Haynes manual for $15. Haynes describes the location as The CKP sensor is located on the driver’s side of the vehicle, above the differential housing. Basically, look at the rear of the transmission, above where the driver's side CV axle goes in, and near the engine block. You'll see an electrical plug and single 10mm bolt--that's the crankshaft position sensor on the 4.0L V6. It's kind of awkward to reach but not difficult. It's five minutes of work when you know how to find it. Joined Dec 9, 2017 · 5,000 Posts
Sorry, misread that. Yep, the crank sensor is in the transmission case near the flex plate. Where is the camshaft position sensor located? The Camshaft Position sensor is typically located in the cylinder head of the engine and has a cylindrical portion that inserts into the head. The Crankshaft Position sensor is normally located in the timing cover or on the side of the block with a cylindrical portion that inserts into the block.
Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country? It is located on rear of engine between engine and firewall. You might be able to reach it from the top but will not be able to see what you are doing. I put van up on jack stands, crawled under, and managed to reach it by going in over the exhaust pipes. 1 people found this helpful.
