Clayton Off Roads package deal lift kits are specifically designed to offer the best all around performance. This kit is put together using only the highest quality parts, and vigorously tested to meet our stringent requirements. Because this is a package deal lift kit, you know that everything is going to properly work together, to give you the best performance possible. Making bulletproof arms is our name to fame and we back that with our lifetime warranty. But that’s only one step of the equation. When this package deal was put together we had one main goal in mind. We wanted to build the strongest, most reliable long arm kit on the market. Price is important, but quality has to be a priority. Ease of installation is also very important, but strength and reliability has to be above the rest. If you save a few hundred dollars, and it falls apart in 6 months, that’s not saving money. If you can install it for less or faster, but it fails or leave you stranded in the woods, that’s not saving time or money either. These are all items we thought about when designing, installing and testing our lift kits. Our obsession to details, is what brings you the best riding, strongest most reliable lift kits on the market, period.

The paramount suspension upgrade for your ZJ is a long arm system. Iron Rock Off Road's 7" ROCK-LINK link long arm system offers unrivaled performance, giving your Jeep both the capability and ride quality improvements that you have been looking for. This ROCK-LINK long arm lift kit is built for strength, clearance, adjustability, flexibility, and ease of install.

  • STRENGTH: Our subframe is constructed with 1/4" steel and our lower arms are even thicker at 2"x5/16" wall D.O.M. tubing.
  • CLEARANCE: We tuck our subframe up as tight as possible to gain you the critical extra clearance to keep your Jeep low and your belly high! The lower arm connections at the chassis are as high as possible with still being able to install a bolt through them. The control arms have an inboard bend to clear your tires, so you can steer lock to lock without rubbing on them
  • ADJUSTABILITY: All the arms have tons of adjustment built in for your stock situation to your stretched crawler.
  • FLEXIBILITY:Yes, of course we are talking about articulation, and the ROCK-LINK delivers plenty! But we are also talking about flexibility to install other axle combinations with ease. Use this kit with your stock Dana 30 for now, and then bolt in a Dana 44 or Dana 60 down the road!
  • EASE OF INSTALL: No welding, no complicated setup or templates. All you need is a drill, a floor jack, some jack stands and some hand tools. This is a BOLT-IN kit, although if your preferred method of installation is welding, you can do that! (NOTE: Required cut off the factory lower control arm mounts on the chassis)

KEY PRODUCT FEATURES:

    • 5/16" thick wall D.O.M. lower control arm material
    • 1/4" thick, 3 piece, subframe assembly
    • Huge tire clearance with inboard control arm bends
    • Best ground clearance available with super high clearance long arm subframe mounts
    • Makes axle swaps much simpler!
    • Maintains caster through the suspension cycle
    • Easy to install without welding, only simple drilling is required!!! Seriously, you can install this in your driveway in a few hours!

INSTALLATION NOTES:

  1. This kit is 100% bolt on!! Strength is not compromised with this value added design feature. However, for those of you still concerned about strength, you can weld the subframe inor bolt AND weld them in (welding to the uniframe is complicated and should be done by an experienced professional welder). The choice is yours.
  2. The front subframe is assembled from 3 pieces. This will allow you to remove the center section for transmission/t-case access while leaving the front suspension (long arms) installed.
  3. If your ZJ has the CV (with rubber boots) front driveshaft, you may need to convert to the double cardan style to accommodate the lift height. Your rear driveshaft will work with this kit.
  4. We do offer a heavy duty SYE for the 231 transfer case and a hack-n-tap SYE for the 231 and 242. Using a slip yoke eliminator has been proven to reduce and/or eliminate vibrations that may occur with taller lifts.

NOTE: This kit has not been tested with aftermarket headers and is known not to work with Doug Thorley Headers without modification.

IRO LIFT KIT BUYER'S GUIDE:Kit Types
Short arm kits:
What is a short arm kit? A short arm kit is a suspension system that typically utilizes the factory mounting points on the axles and the chassis for your control arms. These types of kits can use OEM control arms, heavy duty fixed length arms, heavy duty adjustable arms, OR any combination of these options. Short arm kits are the easiest system to install and upgrade, and are very versatile. These systems are best used in 0-4.5” lift range, depending on the vehicle. From daily driving to overlanding, to light rock crawling, these kits transform your Jeep into a swiss army knife. With a low purchase price, and fantastic performance gains over stock, these are a great bang for the buck!
    FOUNDATION SERIES
  • Most affordable option
  • Huge improvement over stock suspension
  • Clearance to fit bigger tires and drive over larger obstacles
  • Has all required parts with nothing you don’t need
  • Great “foundation” to build on!! Upgrade when it fits your build timeline/budget.
  • Kit utilizes short arms (not a long arm kit)
  • Simplest installation, using basic hand tools. Minor drilling may be required.
    BENCHMARK SERIES
  • Contains all “Foundation” kit features PLUS:
  • Includes most common and value packed upgrades over the Foundation Series to remain budget friendly.
  • Easy to upgrade without purchasing duplicate parts.
  • Kit utilizes short arms (not a long arm kit)
  • Still a simple install, basic hand tools required. Minor drilling may be required.
    PREMIUM SERIES
  • Contains all “Benchmark” kit features PLUS:
  • Includes premium level features such as adjustable control arms, adjustable track bars, stainless steel braided brake hoses where applicable.
  • Highest performing short arm system
  • Kit utilizes short arms (not a long arm kit)
  • The best for mild lift height builds for all around versatility, adjustability, and durability.
  • Basic hand tools for installation. These kits usually contain several components with adjustments so we view this as a medium difficulty installation. Some minor drilling may be required.
Long arm kits:
What is a long arm kit? Long arm suspension systems use a chassis mounting system that allows a much longer control arm set to be installed. Why? This allows for a flatter operating angle for and more straight up and down axle movement through the suspension cycle. The benefits include an improved ride comfort than otherwise equally equipped short arm suspension, significantly reduced binding allows more articulation keeping your tires on the ground longer, meaning more traction without the use of traction aides (like limited slip or lockers). Long arm systems often have easier provisions for swapping in different axles. The ROCK-LINK kits are Iron Rock’s answer for a premium long arm system. These systems are the best choice for modern installers since the benefits are “next level” when compared to any short arm systems. These systems are best used in 3-8+” lift range, depending on the vehicle. The installation can vary from simple to difficult depending on the system or vehicle application.
    ROCK-LINK
  • Contains long arms in the front and short arms in the rear. This combines the premium performance benefits of a long arm system and the great value of short arms or leaf springs ;-)
  • Stronger than stock
  • Great for both high ground clearance builds as well as low center of gravity builds
  • Typically does not require exhaust modification.
  • Best for lifts above 3.5”, from daily driver to aggressive off-road driving style, including rock crawling!
  • Easy to upgrade by adding rear long arms at a later time. This allows you to build up to the ROCK-LINK PRO in stages as your budget allows.
  • Installation is usually longer than short arm kits due to the quantity of parts replaced/upgraded. Difficulty level is medium. Basic hand tools required. May require minor drilling/cutting.
    ROCK-LINK PRO
  • Includes all ROCK-LINK features but upgrades from the short arms (or leaf springs) in the rear to a long travel, long arm system.
  • Great for any and ALL builds 3.5” and up. These kits EXCEL in ride comfort with also providing maximum off-road capability.
  • Typically requires exhaust modification. Iron Rock does have exhaust kits available for many models.
  • Installation difficulty is “hard.” Typically requires welding/cutting/drilling.
