一部以朝鲜战争为题材的好莱坞大片将在韩国拍摄，并在全球上映。该片是3D写实电影，投资1.3亿美元(约1500亿韩元)，虽然好莱坞拍过好几部反映朝鲜战争的电影，但以韩国为主要拍摄地的，该片还是第一部。好莱坞电影公司Madmedia的韩国法人Madmedia亚洲近日表示：“影片以朝鲜战争中的长津湖战斗为题材，将于2010年下半年在韩国拍摄。由执导了《地心历险记》的埃里克·布雷维格担任导演。”目前计划在韩国拍摄6至7成的戏份，其余部分在新西兰拍摄。

3D大片《长津湖之战 》的主要题材是即“长津湖战役”。1950年冬，美军海军陆战队第一师在咸镜北道长津湖附近被中国军队的12个师包围。在险峻的山地和寒冷中，美军战死6000多人。《长津湖之战 》描写了参与该战斗的美海军陆队队员的故事。
