What is Yankee-kun And White Cane Girl adaptation about?
Koi Desu: Yankee-kun To Hakujou Garu is an adaptation of manga series Yankee-kun And White Cane Girl written by Uoyama.
The plot follows the story of Yukiko Akaza, who has an eye condition that affects her vision and ability to recognise colours.
In the series Yukiko, who attends a high school for the blind, bumps into Morio Kurokawa. At first she isn’t too keen but eventually Yukiko falls for his charms.

Where is the Yankee-kun And White Cane Girl adaptation streaming online?
The series premiered on Wednesday, 6 October and is currently being aired on TV network NTV, also known as Nippon TV.
Japanese viewers can watch the series online on streaming service Hulu as episodes are added to the platform on the Wednesday after they have aired on NTV.
Sadly the series isn’t officially available on Hulu outside Japan, although international audiences seem to have been able to watch the show’s first two episodes on a number of sites, including WatchAsian.

JDrama’s cast explored
The show’s two main characters, Yukiko Akaza and Morio Kurokawa, are played by Hana Sugisaki and Yôsuke Sugino.
Sugisaki is no stranger to TV having appeared in a number of Japanese dramas, including Hana Nochi Hare: Hanadan Next Season, Emergency Interrogation Room, and The Girl’s Speech.
She also won a number of awards for her portrayal of Azumi Kono in Her Love Boils Bathwater (Yu Wo Wakasuhodo No Atsui Ai), including newcomer of the year at the Japanese Academy awards.
Sugino may also be familiar to Japanese audiences for his roles in films Girlfriend Is A Serial Killer and Tokyo Revengers. He has also featured in TV shows Tokyo Kaiki Zake, Nao-chan Wa Shôgaku San-nensei, and My Story Is Long.
As per the show’s IMDb page, the Koi Desu: Yankee-kun To Hakujou Garu cast also features actors Gorô Kishitani and Nobuyuki Suzuki.
