Songwriter Julian Bunetta said of the song "This one has one of [my favorite] lines. It's so simple. I think that one of the best lines on the album is in that song. Personally."[1]

Liam wished he'd written the track himself, stating "I’ve always tried to write that song for a special person but you never quite get up to your own expectations, [because] you want it to be your best piece of work ever. That song’s actually about the moment you try to write someone a song and not knowing what the hell to write about. I love that. Made me feel like, ‘Damn, I wish I was there when that happened.“[2]
