What's The Value Of A New England Firearms Pat. 3988848 Serial NG222190?

You have not given us nearly enough information. The patent number and serial number of your shotgun are not enough for us to determine what model of shotgun you have, and nowhere near what we
need to place a value on it.
How about posting some clear, detailed photos of your shotgun, showing both sides of it, and paying particular attention to all factory markings and any areas showing damage, repair, or alterations. Take the photos outside in the shade, and don't use a flash.

Sorry just posted the same way others have done.

Provided that the rest of the gun is in the same condition as that shown in the small photo that you posted, your gun would most likely sell for about $200 at retail. If you sell it to a reputable gun store, you can anticipate getting about half of that amount. Most pawn shops would pay even less.

Based on the fact that your gun has a rear sight, it appears to be a rifle, as opposed to a shotgun. What caliber is it, and what is the condition of the bore?

NB 247583: Made in 1988.
Retail value for a single barrel shotgun gun good or better condition would range from $75 to $125 depending on mechanical and bore condition and remaining original wood and metal finish.
