In my neck of the woods (OK..actually the Maryland Suburbs of DC) when I get to go off road, I often have the opportunity to ford some streams and creeks. I find it odd that I cannot find a snorkel for my YJ. What keeps the water from running through my intake and then into my engine? Are there no snorkel kits made for my Jeep?

It's the same snorkel I had a Arb on my 2.5l YJ the snorkel hoses attatch to your stock airbox and there's a few small holds on be snorkel hat to allow water to drain

The Quadratec® Difference
Safari Snorkel
Quadratec Part #: 17000-0002
ARB Part #: SS1000HF
Description
Picture your Wrangler at the end of a convoy on a dry dusty trail. As each vehicle before you stirs up dust and debris, your air filter is forced to contain the contaminants as your engine gasps for air. Now picture your vehicle entering a water hole. As the front tires leave the
embankment and your Jeep noses into the water, the air intake becomes incredibly vulnerable to water ingestion. Taking water into your engines combustion chambers will create what's known as "hydro lock".
Modifications to the stock air box are needed to use this kit with Air Conditioning.

Questions
This works with the 2.5 as well as 4.0?
That is correct. This is compatible with both engines
do you have the shipping weight and dimensions,
The box measures 50" x 17" x 8" and weighs 20lbs
I just bought a 94 YJ and an ARB snorkel is going on that 4.0l, one question I have is simple! What filter do you run besides the prefilter at the top? A K7N or UNI in the modified Box? Thank you
Hello, This snorkel ties into the factory air box so any aftermarket or OEM factory replacement filter will work just fine.
