It is pretty easy to convert your existing story into an Instagram highlight.

• Go to the Instagram story that you have just posted.
• There will be a small button with a heart icon that says “Highlight”. Tap on it.
• Now you see an Add to highlights page. Tap the ‘New’ button, and add the title of your Instagram highlight.
• Once you have finished, simply tap the Add button. That’s it!

How to make highlights of expired stories in Instagram

Let’s say that you forgot to highlight your Instagram story. So, does that mean that it’s disappeared? If you have enabled the story archive feature, then definitely not. So, make sure that the story archive is enabled before you post any story. Here’s how to check if it’s enabled or not:

• Go to the Instagram app

• Now choose your custom cover image, and resize the image by using pinch to zoom.

It is similar to Instagram Stories. Just Swipe up on the highlight, and you will be able to see who has viewed your Story highlight. However, this list will disappear after 48 hours from the post of your Story, so you will not be able to see who has viewed your highlight after 48 hours.

How to see my Instagram highlights without anyone knowing about it?

It’s a simple hack. You need to go to Swipe left > Tap on the gear icon > Story settings > Hide story from, and tap on 0 people. Now you will have to manually tap on every profile you want to hide the story from. Once you have done that, go back and tap Done. Now, you can view your Instagram highlights, and the profiles you have selected will never know if those highlights even exist.
