Don't wonder anymore about how many oz in a gallon. Here is a handy guide on how to convert fluid oz to a gallon or gallons to ounces. Also, enjoy a FREE conversion chart!
PIN THIS POST FOR LATER!Wouldn't you agree that all these units of measurement, like an imperial pint, US liquid quart, dry gallon, liquid cup, weight ounce, etc., in the recipes, make you dizzy?
I know that all the different measurements can be really confusing sometimes.
Conversions are never easy. But it is especially difficult when trying to convert between two different measurement systems.
For example, it is the Imperial system of the United States vs. the metric system in Canada and other countries where the metric measurement system is implemented.
One of the most common questions is how many ounces of water you should drink a day. And how much is it by the gallon?
According to the Mayo Clinic website, the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recommend an adequate daily water intake for healthy adults:
for men: 15.5 cups or 3.7 liters and
for women: 11.5 cups or 2.7 liters.
By converting these amounts of water into gallons, men should drink about 1 gallon of water per day and women - 0.7 gallons per day, where 1 US gallon equals 16 eight-ounce glasses of water.
But the fluid intake is more complicated because it should consider other factors. As a general rule of thumb, they are exercise, weather conditions, and overall health.
Despite seeming complications with all the water and other liquids conversions, I have done conversions for you: from ounces to cups, ounces to quarts, and ounces to pints.

US gallon vs. Imperial gallon
A gallon (abbreviated as "gal") is a measure of volume used in the Imperial and US measurement systems.
The word "gallon" originates from the Latin word "galleus" or "galena," which means container used in the past to measure wine production.
The US gallon is smaller than the UK imperial gallon:
1 US liquid gallon = 3.785 liters.
1 UK gallon = 4.546 litres.
US ounce vs. Imperial ounce
An ounce is the name of several different units: a unit of weight measured in dry ounces (oz) or a unit of volume measured in fluid ounces (fl. oz. or fl oz).
The US fluid ounce is larger than the UK fluid ounce used in the Imperial measurement system:
1 US liquid oz = 29.5735 mL
1 UK liquid oz = 28.4131 mL
Let's dive into how many fl oz make a gallon.
1 gallon to ounces (1 gal to fl. oz.)
One US gallon of liquid equals 128 US fluid ounces, or
